try 2.5mg and if it doesn't bother your sleep then stay at that

dose for 3 to 4 months and then try 3.0mg and see what happens.

I know you read all the posts and you know that there is no way anyone can answer that! You will just have to try for yourself as says!

low dose naltrexone

Subject: [low dose naltrexone] 5 months w/sleeping problems!

Hi everyone,Just an FYI and hoping for some feedback. I've been taking LDN since the begining of February. Started with 3.0 and went through weeks and weeks of horrible sleep. There were many nights of only 3 and 4 hours. Many people said over time this would get better. After a month I couldn't stand it any longer. After trial and error I found that 2.0 works best, I've got the energy and able to get a good night sleep. I can't help wondering though if I'm getting all the benefits from a 2.0 dose?? Should I try a 2.5? Let me know what ya think?? Thanks in advance.(spms)

, I did not mean for you to stop LDN. The reason I asked was because I did not sleep before LDN nor after at 4.5 mgs for 6 months.. The sleeping or should I say not sleeping was the clue for Dr. B to raise me to 6mgs.

I had not slept for 8 yrs, he thought at 4.5 for 6months I should be sleeping better but I still was not.

We tried 6mgs and he told me if I was stiff after 3 days to stop and go back to 4.5. I was not stiff at all, but did have major insomnia. Stuck with the 6mgs and after 3 weeks of literally no sleep, I finally slept like a baby and continue to do so. I am only one of 2 patients he has on 6mgs.

That is why I asked how you slept before ldn. You should not play with the dose without giving it a realistic try. Your system may need to build up to 4.5 but I would not stop taking ldn. Kiki

Very good question KiKi, I've had a lot on my mind lately. Let's put the ldn away for a week and see just how well I sleep through the night!

Thanks for you thoughts,

Oh,I understood what you were saying. Every once in a while I like to give myself a break for a day or two just to get some sleep. Going up to 4.5 I've never tried because I thought I'd be bouncing off the wall. However, it's seemed to work great for you at 6.0. I'll give it a try, knowing it will take a few weeks before I start sleeping through. Didn't take anything last night and slept well. Here goes nothing! Thanks for your thoughts.
