Thank you Annette for posting this job.

This sounds very interesting and like a great opportunity for a Texan Tech!

Hope all is well with you!

Any thing new to report on your State Board of Pharmacy career?

Hi Jeanetta-

Experience is preferred/desirable but not required. There are many employees

who have absolutely no pharmacy experience but had other qualifications that

made them stand out....usually a college education or some type of college

credit. I encourage anyone who has some college credit under their belt and is

PTCB certified and TSBP registered to apply.

Hi Samer,

Much depends upon what state you are in.

So what state are you in?

Some states will require on the job training. Others a simple fee and

registration, others yet fee, registration, criminal background and fingerprint

check, PTCB or ExCPT.

The BEST way is to contact you state board of pharmacy.

To do so go to google and type in: state board of pharmacies or type in: state

board of pharmacy of 'yoru state's name'.

Use the link to find email contact information, phone and address information.

Also you can find a tab on some state board sites that takes you to an online

applicaton process for pharmacy technicians.

Hope this helps,

Hi Samer,

I also live in Arizona. Maybe next month or october I'll

be taking the PTCE. Do you mind to share some information about the exam and the

materials you used. Your response is highly appreciated.

Thank you..

WOW Annette! Texas si licnesing lots of pharm techs and pharm D's and needs

lots of help OR they just have not yet found the right candidate!

Any way I want to emphasize once again that Tx does not require that you be PTCB

or a registered tech to apply and hold this position!

So if any of you Texans are seeking a different type of work here is your

chance!

Thank you for the posting Annette.

Hi Jeanetta,

Actually there is a little bit of a shuffle going on right now. A couple of our

current employees moved into some of the new positions. In turn, that opened up

their positions. I beleive we have 8 or 9 new positions beginning this fiscal

year which means great opportunities for technicians in Texas. I encourage

pharmacy technicians, especially if those wth a Bachelor's degree, to apply!
