Refills on Controlled Substances

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone remember if we got a definitive answer about refills on controlled

substances? If the doctor writes for example suboxone 8 mg 1 tablet sl bid #60

refill 1 + 5, but the patient has no insurance and is paying cash for partial

fills ,of #10 at a time is he entitled to #360 tablets altogether or only #60?

We used to fill the prescription for 6 months from the original date until the

number of pills was used up but now we have a new computer program that voids

the prescription after 5 refills regardless of the number of tablets dispensed.
