Kathy and others:

I was drinking the designer protein from Vitalady, but tried GNC 100% Whey

Protein. I love it! I have both Chocolate and Strawberry. I want FAST!

This stuff disolves in liquid with a spoon! I bought a Rubbermaid shaker

with a sippy top. I use about 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup of 1% milk, 2 scoops

of protein powder, 1 tsp citrucel and 3 ice cubes. I shake it up and sip

away. This is breakfast everyday. It is not thick, more like commercial

chocolate milk and very chocolatey. You can drink some, put it in the fridge

and go back to it late. Tastes and consistancy the same as if you just made

it.

You might try it Kathy as GNC will take it back if you don't like it. It

goes down easy. I am worried about a stricture with you though. Plz talk to

Rocky and you PCP, you might need an endoscopy.

Dear Crystal,

1. You may wish to visit this site:

http://www.alamo.edu/sac/nursing/math/peds10.html

2. I seriously doubt that it will be on the exam. ihave NEVERhad any of my live

students tell me or complain that this was on the exam. I say complain as I do

not teach this. So if they took the exam andit was on it you can bet I would

have had some complaints that we do not teach it.

However that being said IF anyone out there 'lurking' has actually seen these

types of questions on the PTCB exam please let us know.

No where on the PTCB list of what you should know and study have I ever seen

this. Howeve one should probably know what a " buretrol "

is.

Hope this helps,

I found that the head hunger drove me crazy. Then I tried the lasagna my family

was eating. I chewed and chewed the lasagna and it tasted wonderful. Then I

spit it out into the garbage disposal, rinsed my mouth out and took another bite

and did the rinse again. It helped tremendously. The flavors filled my mouth

and it eased the head hunger. From that point on I have not had problems with

head hunger. I can get the taste and feel satisfied.

As odd as it sounds, I can see how this would work!! I would feel a little stange spitting the food out a couple times, but I think it is pretty effective way of curbing the head hunger. I also wanted to add that this "trick" is a great way to get the most out of the "pleasure" aspect of eating, since 99% of the pleasure of eating comes from the tastes and textures of the food we eat!

Thanks so much for sharing! I just may do this!!

I have learned that when I think I am hungry I usually am thirsty so I have learned that having something to drink really works well for me instead of eating something.
