Guest guest
Standardization! that is all I want! Standardization in education, regulations, requirements laws etc regarding pharm techs. " WE " have been asing for this for MANY years now. There are strong forces working together to allow many certification exams. It is my belief that this undermines the very concept of standardization. And yet the argument for alternative cert exams is to have a choice. This may be true for certification but is not true for licensing or registration. We need ONE exam for licensing and a standard education for pharm techs. Are we really asking for so much? I know that PTEC is discussing this, it is one of the major topics. But what is being done? I do not know and am not privy to that. WE can not judge them if we do not have the facts. The same is true for AAPT or NPTA. IF we do not know the facts what is being done and what is not being done we can not say with certainty that nothing is being done. We can only 'assume'.
