Guest guest
Hi all. I've been lurking around here for a few months. I've taken a 6 month pharmacy tech course through our community college. And I have my test scheduled for the 2nd of July. I'm going over the practice test in the back of the book. Pharmacy Certified Technician Training Manual (Michigan Pharmacists Association) Anyway there is a math question here, that I think I am doing correctly, but the answer the book gives is not the same as what I am getting. Here is the question. How many 250mg tablets are needed to compound 160 ml of a 40% solution. I set it up as 40g/100ml = x / 160 I get x = 64g so 6400mg 6400mg / 250 mg tabs is 25.6 tablets. The book says it's 256 tablets. Which doesn't even make sense on a practical level. Can someone please help? This book has been known to be wrong before, so I don't completely trust it anyway. Thanks. ~*Liz
