Kara,

You know that is quite possible. But I have not heard of this. I have

heard of National Pharmacy Week and Technician Day.

Try posting on the www.ptcb.org site and let us know if the staff

knows. Let us know the response. In the meantime someone from this

site may know.

Take care

Dear Jeanetta,

I'm sorry but either you didn't attach anything to that post or .. ?? I'm

missing something there.

Dear All,

It appears that this email is TOO large to post. Therefore I have had

to make a copy of it as it is more like a photograph. It inclues dates

and themes.

I have made a NEW FOLDER in the 'FILES' section called NATIONAL

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN DAY (no caps). With in this folder will be the

announcements and banners of current and future NPTD's.

The current folder contains:

PTCB Recognizes National Pharmacy Technician Day 2005.doc

National Pharmacy Technician Day 2005 Announcement and Banners from PTCB

I also will be posting one from NPTA in the near future as soon as I

can figure it out. This too is too big.

Respectfully,

The following is an email from NPTA to me at various times, recently

to my private address. I share this with you.

In addition you can find the NPTA Pharm Tech Announcements and Banners

in the file section at (open with Microsoft Word) :

NPTA on National Pharmacy Technician Day 2005

NPTA announcement and banners for National Pharm Tech Day, and

includes first reference to AAPT and PTEC along with NPTA

co-ordinating NPTD theme for 2005. Open with Microsoft Word

The following is a news release from NPTA which appears to have been

posted on 10-Jul-05 4:00 PM CST

http://www.pharmacytechnician.org/en/art/?30

" " National Pharm Tech Day

Houston, TX - The three national pharmacy technician related

organizations in the US have collaborated to develop and promote a

united message for National Pharmacy Technician Day 2005.

AAPT - the American Association of Pharmacy Technicians, NPTA - the

National Pharmacy Technician Association and PTEC - the Pharmacy

Technician Educators Council have endorsed the theme -

" Pharmacy Technicians: Helping Pharmacists Enhance Patient Care "

for the national day of recognition and celebration scheduled for

October 25, 2005.

The three organizations are preparing an entire Resource Kit for 2005

National Pharmacy Technician Day, which will provide a consistent

message, a stronger voice and a larger reach. The Resource Kit will

be made available, shortly, by each participating organization. A

standard flyer has been designed as well - promoting 2005 National

Pharmacy Technician Day. " "

A News Release on the site:

" Sept. 30, 2005

Tomorrow marks the 1st of October...which is American Pharmacists Month.

Did you realize, however, that Tuesday, October 25th has been

designated as National Pharmacy Technician Day...or that the national

theme established for 2005 is

Pharmacy Technicians: Helping Pharmacists Enhance Patient Care?

NPTA has developed an online Resource Center

http://www.pharmacytechnician.org to aide you in preparing for and

celebrating National Pharmacy Technician Day. This Resource Center

contains downloadable logos, templates and poster designs; it even

includes a private, online forum for you to share ideas and

suggestions for National Pharmacy Technician Day with your colleagues.

I hope that your find these resources both helpful and easy to use.
