Guest guest
50mg/ml in a 10ml bottle 50 mg-------200 mg ------- = --------- 1 ml---------X ml 1 x 200 -------- = 4 ml 50 Since this is chemo use a 10 ml syringe. 1. How many Tylenol would be dispensed for a patient, for a 24 hour period? order: 5gr 1-2 po q6h prn headache. max tabs per dose = 2 two tabs/dose x 4 doses / day = 8 tabs per day in one twenty four hours. 8 x 325 = 2600 mg or 2.6 gram epr day. This is well under the recommended max of 3800 or 3.8 gram. (older rec was 4 grams per day). Guest guest
Lady J got another head scratchier can you help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee these are the probs that realy mess me up aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh You have received a prescription for 45 ml of a 35% solution of Taxol (Chemotherapy). Currently in stock, you have a 40% solution which is too strong for the patient and a 30% solution which is too weak for the patient. How would you mix the 40% solution and the 30% solution to get the 45 ml of a 35% solution?

Guest guest
Dear Neal and ALL, This is why I always lead people to my Files section for the Ttorials on Alligation so that they can see the set up. The HTML on does not support the forum/mssage board with uploads of HTML. Files # 5 Folder S-8 Math Only Files Documents: Alligation I and II Wish to thank you for sharing! Most math can be done/shown on the forum so stay tuned for something that you can post or resond to that does not have a format problem. Hope this helps, Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Founder/Owner > > Sorry, I put this in a table format and it certainly did not stay intact > when it was posted. > > > > Neal Linder > > > > From: > [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Neal Linder > Sent: Saturday, April 24, 2010 12:53 PM > > Subject: RE: Re: calculations- template use > > > > > > Look at the Alligation files in the files section. > > 40% > > 5% > > 35% > > 30% > > 5% > > > 10% 5 10x=225 > > 45 ml x 10 10 x=22.5 ml of the 40% solution > > 10% 5 10x=225 > 45 ml x 10 10 x=22.5 ml of the 30% solution > > Alligation medial used to check the answer > > 22.5 ml x 0.4 = 9.0 > > 22.5 ml x 0.3 = 6.75 > > 45 ml x 0.35 = 15.75 > > I hope this helps. > > Neal Linder > > From: > <mailto:%40> > [mailto: > <mailto:%40> ] On Behalf Of wayne > marsh > Sent: Saturday, April 24, 2010 3:21 AM > > <mailto:%40> > Subject: Re: Re: calculations- template use > > Lady J > > got another head scratchier can you help > > pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee > these are the probs that realy mess me up aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh > > You have received a prescription for 45 ml of a 35% solution of > Taxol (Chemotherapy).
