Guest guest
What I would like to get in an advanced class, is more time spent working with clients who are actually doing nf. In other words, I would like to hear what details you are observing, both in the EEG, and in the client. For example, you might say, " notice how she is clenching her fists (or teeth or whatever) - I'm going to lower beta a notch. " Or, " see these theta spikes, that's what we're trying to smooth out " , etc. You said in your class that observing the client and reacting to anything that goes wrong during the session is critical to avoiding adverse reactions. I would like to learn more specifics in terms of this kind or real time adjustments, both to avoid harm, and to fine tune what is working. ---Stan > A number of requests have come recently for an advanced workshop, but I > haven't gotten a lot of suggestions on what might be covered in such an > animal. Guest guest
Foxx: Haven't heard any response from you or Pete about an advanced training class here. I have three responses just from my mentioning the possibility of a central Florida class. With Robin and me, that is 5. If we could set some dates, there might be more that want to come. jim

Guest guest
Sue and , I'm pretty sure they are talking about the Tampa, Florida area. and Foxx, Septemer 15-18 could work for me, although 16-18 would be better. Guest guest
Foxx: Bill Steltenkamp and we agree that Sept. 15-18 will be best. If this can fit Pete's schedule, let's try to get up a class. I've copied Dawn Miner who expressed interest. Someone named Jane also expressed interest, but I failed to get her email address. For information, we will hold classes either at our home in New Port Richey or in the church where Robin has her offices in Trinity. Both are about 40 min from Tampa airport or St. sburg and about an hour and a half from Orlando or about 2 hours from Gainesville. -----Original Message-----From: [mailto: ]On Behalf Of FoxxSent: Wednesday, July 27, 2005 2:47 PM Subject: RE: RE: Advanced training , Yes, I guess I was waiting to hear from you that you were ready to go ahead. Guest guest
I will have to think about coming to a Trainer's Practicum. I was really looking for a Level 3 in the southeast. I don't need to know how to diagnose and design training plans for a variety of cases. I need to understand how to do actual training sessions for myself and my daughter. I understand the theory of assessments well enough for my purposes. I just don't have enough experience with actual training (and the training tools) to have any confidence that I am doing it effectively. As a result, I have quit trying, but I would like to try again. I don't think the Trainer's Practicum would really help me with what I need to know. Opinions?
