Guest guest
Dear Christian and ALL, It is a WONDERFUL idea, but... Unfortunately the pharm tech sites have been plagued these past 2 years with spam that has been degrading, off color, foul and demeaning for many people of the world. In addition we have had our share of 'unwanted unsolicited advertisements'. We also had the same in 'Uploads'. Because of this I have with my moderator, Dora , chosen to not allow attachements and uploades. However I have always encouraged my membership to email me privately with any new links or documents that you would like attached in the files or links section. I will review and if they meet my critique and they are not taking advantage of pharm techs, but rather helping them in education or recognition I will post them. In addition you ALL can have a photo attached to your email profile. And by doing so anyone can click on your name in the members list or from an email post and see your photo and your profile. In addition, if anyone wishes to have a photo attached to a " members photo section file " , I would be glad to begin one and add them by hand, one by one, as they are submitted to my private email addy. I hope this explains why I do not allow memebers to upload. I will however upload anything that is on topic and in good taste, educational and for the good of techs. Just email me privately. each upload would have the name of the person who submitted it if they so choose. Thank you for your suggestion, Respectfully, Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Pharm Tech Educator Founder/Owner > Hey Jeanetta, > > Could you add a feature as the adminstrator of this group so that we > could upload personal photos of perhaps us with our PTCB and state > license papers or our families? > > It is one thing to discuss our issues, but quite another when > you 'know' who you are speaking to... > > A pictue is worth a thousand words... > > Just a thought, I might not be doing something right with the > Group photo section, but you as the moderator has locked uploads of > pictures... Guest guest
For those of you interested in posting a photo: a profile is free and you can post a photo there. When using a profile, others can access your profile. You may need to create a e-mail to create a user profile. Anne LaVance, CPhT A wonderful idea ...BUT Re: Adding Photos... Guest guest
Dear Anne, As the moderator for my Educators' group you and I both know what the work involved uploading each person's photos would entail. I do agree with you that profiles are the best way to do this. Thank you for your input Jeanetta > > Hey Jeanetta, > > > > Could you add a feature as the adminstrator of > this group so that we > > could upload personal photos of perhaps us with > our PTCB and state > > license papers or our families? > > > > It is one thing to discuss our issues, but quite > another when > > you 'know' who you are speaking to... > > > > A pictue is worth a thousand words... > > > > Just a thought, I might not be doing something > right with the > > Group photo section, but you as the moderator has > locked uploads of > > pictures...
