Guest guest
Thank you and for your input, personal experiences and thoughts. Perspective is what makes our views somewhat different from each other. I prefer the color and shape codes. I was on baby snatch detail or team. I stood in corridor next to pharmacy door with walkie talke and described the perp, baby etc along with the direction that the perp was traveling. I got in the Rx as soon as I did. Was involved in three snatches, and many 'staff simulation exercises'. In all cases babies were recovered. Jeanetta And we were NOT known as Code Pink as many hsopitals have this code. > > I'm gratefully our hospital didn't do the ten different color flavors. They called CPR team stat-then the room number. Or respiratory care stat-room number or if it was for the ER, that meant a code was going on in there > > The only time the room number wasn't called was for CCU. > > They did do colors for severe weather, fire and a bomb scares. > But if you had half a brain, the great unwashed to figure it out. > > In 15 years of working in a hospital, most of the staff wanted to be no where near an active code in progress. You'd hear a code call and think, " Whew, glad it isn't my patient.
