OK I did a lot of soul searching before answering this plea and YES IT IS ON TOPIC

I too have two days off every month or so, now that I have done this for a few months I find ,interestingly enuf, that first of all the naltrexone at this time was still working as well for me as when I started yet more than anything I had to remember what it was like before my nightly pill!

So therefore I don't take it, go back to near incontinence and dizzyness like I was for so long crazy right? so that I can give those symptoms the slip again.

This just reafirms that the ldn is worth taking,no placebo effect here!

I guess I don't have to do this but then again the naltrexone is causing my body to manufacture more endorphins, which in turn is giving me a real good feeling about myself!

Maybe I am getting to like it?

Years ago a Naturopath told my brother that ,in her words"There is no joy in your life"

not that he didn't have a good life then, but just that the M.S. had robbed him of the natural joy that we all experience in the little things, and I am sure you can all attest to that so I won't go into that here!

I am sure that the extreme course of his M.S. is not just because of this alone but then everything all works together for us or against us?

I have always tried to keep a positive outlook on life so that I can find joy in the sound of rain on the roof or birds in the trees maybe returning to better health every month is why I stop taking it for two days a month? It sure hasn't hurt me any!

Reg.

low dose naltrexone

Subject: [low dose naltrexone] re aegis+ cabbies emails

I found both if these emails extremely useful...I have been wondering alot about the effect on the pituitary gland...of constant endorphin receptor blocking or does it occur on many different

beta endorphin receptor sites in the brain /body?( eg.there are opiate receptor cells in the gut)

i understand we are talking about enkephalin blocking as well ...I know very little about these.

I have about 2 days off every few weeks .what do others do?????

it would be informative to hear frorm as many LDNers as possible...
