Guest guest
Do some pharmacies/companies pay someone who is studying to be a pharm tech more than if they were just working there (as a cashier, etc.)?
Guest guest
Hi Shama81, Students currently in their professional years (third year through sixth year) generally get paid a substantially higher wage than other pharmacy employees. Speaking for CVS: Each store has a budgeted number of technician hours to schedule based on the volume of prescriptions that are filled. We can schedule one technician hour for each eleven prescriptions. Understandably, certain times of the year are more difficult than others when it comes to filling a schedule with a limited amount of hours. But the company allows a pharmacy student to work in the pharmacy and his/her hours do not count against the technician budget. So in the summertime, when students are abundant and pharmacies are busier (in my area anyway) a pharmacy student is coveted.
