Hi Jani-

I had to take a skills test when I applied for a hospital position.

It involved drug classes, generics, and basic pharmacy math

(concentrations, alligation, dosages, etc). I was able to use a

calculator but that was it. It was easy stuff....nothing out of the

ordinary.

Hey there Jani,

I have actually been a Tech for Walgreens for about 4 months now. I

started as a cashier up front and made my way to the Pharmacy. I didn't

have to take any math test but lots of training. We also had to take a

state Licensing test witch had some basic skills and laws on in. But I'm

not sure about the math test. So I guess I cant be much help.lol Good

luck. It's a good company to work for. I have learned tons from the other

techs and the Pharmacist.

I have a interview this Tuesday. Is the licensing test on a computer or what?

Thanks

The licensing test that I took was given to me by the Pharmacy Manager. It

was a test about Kansas laws having to do with pharmacy practices. I also

took one about some federal dispensing laws. Neither one of them was very

hard. Just mostly common sense stuff. They started me at 8 dollars an hour

and when I take my PTCB test in March and pass I will get a dollar raise.

Not too bad for the area. This is a small town and the only Walgreens here.

But the benefits are great. Good luck.
