I had gout about twenty years ago and it hurt. It was tracked down to

beetroot. When I stopped eating beetroot the gout slowly went away.

If you do take Insosine, be sure to get your UA level checked. The

studies underway try and raise the level to 8 mg/dl; that's the top

of the normal range. I did raise my UA level; took me about 3 months

of taking 2,000 mg /day (2 in the morning, 2 at night). Once there,

I dropped to 1,000 mg/day to stay there. You don't want your UA

levels to get too high. If you go this route, do it with your

doctor's help.
