Dear All who are studyign for the PTCB exam and to become a pharmacy

technician or who need to brush up on pharmacology:

I have placed many tutorials on this site

and my OVERFLOW site at:

regarding pharmacology that may help you. While you do not need to

know all of this to pass the PTCB exam, I do believe that techs

should and MUST know pharmacology in order to make safer compounds,

IVs and to label with correct auxiliary labels and to prevent

medication errors.

On THIS site go to the Files section

Select Folder: Tutorials - 1

Selcet Folder: Pharmacology

Inside this folder you will find the following 6 (six)files:

1. Monograph for tetracycline.doc

Pharmacology or Monograph of tetracycline

2. Monograph of Ace Inhibitors in general.doc

About Ace Inhibitors in general with 3 examples

3. Precautions, Auxiliary Labels and Drug - Food Inteactions,

A unique way of learning drug or food interactions and precautions

is by studying auxiliary labels . There are two tutorials to teach

you some of this type of pharmacology . Go to the folder called:

Auxiliary Labels in this Tutorial Folder.

4. Tutorial - Advantages Vs Disadvantages of IV Routes.doc

A post inspired the making of this this tutorial: A Comparison of
