I'm hoping someone can help clarify this for me. I have read in some of

the posts that for Texas that you do not have to be certified but do

have to register, but to register you have to be certified????? I bolded

the comments below. Maybe I am just reading it wrong?

I'm in Texas and am going the way of self study (mail order course

certificate) and was thinking I would then take the PTCB exam and be

able to get hired more easily. But after looking at some of the

practice test questions, I have to wonder if I will be able to take the

exam right away and not need more hands on learning through work

experience? Do many take it right away and pass?

Also do I need to look into becoming registered now (if I don't need to

pass the test first)? I saw someone say that it needs to be done (for

them) by February 1st. Wasn't sure what that was about.
