The issue we deal with is radiation. Because there is a homeopathic plate inside the box, the concern is if you travel a lot the radiation may effect the test kit. This is more so for those who travel outside the US and have to go through the heavy duty screening. Personally, I take my box with me as rarely as possible and use someone else's there.

Hi there,

I am travelling from the US to Europe and I am thinking of taking the

SCIO with me. Is there anything I should pay attention to?

Is security screening an issue with the SCIO? Could the radiation harm

the SCIO?

Thanks for your feedback.

Happy scioing.

Hi Steph I travel back and forth with my SCIO. I always take it in my hand luggage with my computer. The radiation is much less. I have never had any problems, also have never been questioned going through Customs.. ... I did recieve a suggestion on this matter from a practitioner to wrap the box in tin foil, if you are putting it through the hold...... It is always good to get your SCIO box updated with the new items every few years. IF you take the SCIO with you then be sure it goes into your carry-on luggage. I have traveled to many other countries and never had a problem with taking it. In fact one man during the security check on my return from Mexico even knew what it was, I think my jaw hit the floor. Gave him a good laugh as he informed me he likes to read. Bill had told us that after about 50 times through the scanner we would need to send it back to Budapest for a check-up. But that is not your biggest problem. Most insurance companies that insure the device (often on your home owners policy) do not cover damage or loss (even theft) when out of the USA. And unless you plan to carry it with you everywhere I would not advise it being left in a car or hotel room in many of the other countries. When I teach I use one of the devices that the local group has and leave mine at home. My computer I

bring, and yes travel with them does often cause damage. I've had 3 get damaged during travel, and usually on over seas trips where we hit turbulence and it gets bumped around a bit. I often travel with 2 just in case, and it has been a blessing several times. As to other things to watch out for; about 3 weeks ago a new rule was passed that EVERY piece of electrical equipment must be put into the bin for separate screening not just the computers. For those of us who teach that is a nightmare. That means the SCIO/EPFX-usb, our computers, batteries, video cameras, projector, even credit card machine. So far only one airport enforced the new rule, but it's coming. Anything larger than your cell phone. Hope that helps, Yours in Health, KathyStephan <stephan.weigandt@...> wrote: Hi there, I am travelling from the US to Europe and I am thinking of taking the SCIO with me. I have traveled out of the U.S. with my Scio. I had it inside my computer case that I hand carried.

I have never been asked what is is.

Someone mentioned to me that if I were asked, "What is that?" to say "it is my personal healing device."
