Clasp32 Software Update

For example the recommended screen resolution is 1280x1024 and the machine requires a parallel port to work with the QXCI.

There is now more information so bigger screens are required. The changes are substantially in response to user requests and few are initiated by QX. (e.g. homeopathic activation, homotox.)

Where can a person find a laptop with a 17" screen and a parallel port?Even a laptop with a parallel port is now hard to find

yes: I have sorted with QX a PCMCIA card that will operate the QX from a computer w/o paralle port and QX has modified the software to accomodate. Email me for details

and the most prevalent machine has a resolution of 1024x728 on a 15" screen

Yes: and these are the lower cost machinesI read suggestions to change the display properties. If the monitor supports this resolution, it is barely readable. It is said this higher resolution is required so all relevant information may be shown.

A reasonable compromise seems a 1400x900 ishscreen..still being evaluated but this is the commonest native resolution for widescreens.

we thought that all would work by specifying a cmpter with NATIVE resolution >1280 horiz and 1024 vert and this is great except for aura scan buttons which i believe is fixable.

The "Patient Data" screen has been made higher and difficult to use. What has been added here? Just extended the list of clients?

One summary to date is

The aura scan screen seems fine now.

Homeopathic screen also seems OK as far as I can see

In SCIO (the piggy back options) however if for example one clicks on "Facial Eye + Gums" and then uses the slider at the left of the page I still can't quite see the bottom most item even if I drag the whole window as far as poss up to the top of the screen.

Ditto with the "Misc Rx" I can't see the allersodes line (just the very top of it)

And in the "Quadrant Repair" window I can see as far down as the Stimulate Detox line. I don't know if this is really the last item on that page.

Hope this helps.Tim

Also auto ide on the bottom toolbar helps

This is not really the fault of QX as other systems I have also have issues with screen res changes from the cmpter industry.

I know this doesnt solve users problems and the only way may be for QX to settle on a widescreen resolution..then the squarer screens may suffer..like my rekliable 15" dell!

Now the Test Matrix data has been extended so items like the expanded name box and Test Tray edit box are below the screen. All in all about an inch of data is no longer available on a run-of-the mill laptop.

Next is the Body Scan and Face Therapy screen. Congratulations, we now have the Cybernetic Correction back.

Why was it removed in the first place?

it has always shown on my widescreen but not on all. Now however it wont show on a widescreen dell that has a higher native resolution than 1280x1024!!!

Possible as the piggy-back therapies have moved from the top right to below the images. Now they are below screen level!

So my suggestions are:

The QXCI has up to now been the best device of its kind available.Easily usable software is required to keep it there.

Updates should be just that - Updates. At the moment the update file installs the entire program without a patient database. This effectively over writes Pear.doc (where one may add Faculty members, Pray001.txt

these two you can copy and drag back in

try also with the others!

where we have saved our personalized prayers, Report.db where we have set-up the customizations required for our reports and Clasppsw.db which holds our registration details when we first activated the software. (now I have to set them up all over again - the third time this year)

DVD Suggestion: In the New Install (First time users) files are the files for the entire program. The Update section contains only those files that have changed since the last update. May be the update distribution could contain only the updated files and a new Borland database engine if required. This may even fit on a CD. Some of the users who have had their machines for a while do not have a DVD reader. The full version will only be distributed with new hardware.

The Development Team should use the next year polishing the user interface, may be even re-writing it instead of adding bells and whistles and altering screens for what appears to be no apparent reason except they have a screen where they can still see everything.

Remove all redundant files e.g Copy of ...... and files with the same data and similar names like AFFIRMAT.doc, AFFIRMAT.rtf and Affirmat.txt.

Make greater use of the Windows API, after all it is meant to run on a windows platform at this stage. Have a consistent look and feel between different screens. May be making use of dynamic link libraries for the different parts of the program.

This, and similar devices and software, should be available to the masses. Therefore it should be designed for a machine available to the masses.

I am sure there are many people who have thought this about the software and have said nothing. If nothing is said, nothing will change.
