I just started playing again when my fingers went numb from ms and I couldn't play... now I want to go back to music school and refresh before I play too much more... it's a lot more fun when you have good chops... Guest guest
I played guitar, just chords and a little picking, in my 20's but by the time I was 27, I had three children and little or no personal time. Anyway, after my kids were no longer demanding of most of my time, I began trying to practice again. The first few years were disappointing because my left/right coordination was messed up from a head injury I received in a car accident at age 27. As time went on, it got slowly better but then when I started having MS symptoms in Aug 2002, I not only lost coordination but strength as well, so for a short while I had to quit playing. Now on LDN, I've begun practice again. My coordination is not too bad at the moment but I have to play rather slow. I think with time I will continue to improve. I wish you luck...if LDN works as good as everyone says this is just the beginning of good things to come for both of us. Guest guest
The only real issue with my guitar is the fact that I have trouble remembering songs now. I tend to forget where I am... but realizing that I make music for my pleasure and no one elses has made it much easier to enjoy my current level of ability. I guess I'll never actually get through Classical Gas, but I'm still happy with what I can play. I've learned to relax my self expectations and just enjoy the music. ----- Original Message ----- From: " Penny " <sixcents@...> <low dose naltrexone > Sent: Monday, May 24, 2004 7:23 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: re:any musicians out there? > I played guitar, just chords and a little picking, in my 20's but by > the time I was 27, I had three children and little or no personal > time.
