The other day I found a wildflower in my yard rooted under a soaker

hose. It's a part of the yard I never go to and was surprised to see

these wispy flowers there, as though they had a message besides food

for the deer. Later I looked in my East Coast Wildflower Book to

learn the flower was indeed called Star of Bethlehem and is a flower

essence and is actually included in Bach's Rescue Remedy. It's used

for grief and shock and really hit the nail on the head because for

ten months I had been caught up in a whirlwind of watching my uncle

die in ICU for 8 months, hooked up to every machine under the sun, and

then it took 2 months to bury him and the waiting was excruciating due

to the backlog of military back from Iraq. During this time I was

helping his widow, my aunt, who has macular which I continue to do.

The star of bethelehem was just the essence I needed and after I took

it I slept eight hours instead of my usual five.

This reminds me of my teacher, the late J.R. Worsley, founder of the

Five Element acupuncture system in the U.S. who used to tell us all

the time, " Look in your backyard for the herb you might need, not

across the world. " Just as eating food that is grown in our local

area is much better for us that food flown in from across the country.

I wanted to share this simple story with you because sometimes we

think things are more complicated than they are. I always want to add

that just working with the flower essences on the SCIO/EPFX work so

quickly for animals and little children.
