Guest guest
Hi all, I am hoping for some suggestions with a client I have. She has a complicated medical history. She is 47 years old, has MS, type 2 diabetes, and has had heart problems (on the verge of congestive heart failure), and depression. She is on quite a few medications: Paxil, avandia, metformin, avapro, crestor, and ditropan. She is currently, with these medications, well controlled (the MS, diabetes, depression, etc.). She has had alot of emotional issues in her lifetime (sexual abuse, not being wanted by mother, etc.). She is coming to me for weight loss. She has been obese for most of her life, starting in childhood. She is aware that at least part of the weight is a form of protection for her. We have been working on emotions in NLP, biofeedback, brain balancing, etc. I have done some protocols from Dr. Bourne and Nirvana for weight loss, but we have not been able to shift any significant weight for her. The program suggests that a big issue for her is all the allopathic drugs she is taking. I am wondering if there is a way to help her with weight loss? She needs to lose at least 150 pounds (her and her doctors estimate). She realizes that her health is being compromsied by the weight. She is even investigating gastric bypass surgery as a last resort. I have made some progress on the MS (helping with the lesions, in her case, they are mostly in the brain). She watches what she eats, she does not have sugar, she eats regular meals and snacks. Her digestion is quite good. She is active, working in her garden, but does not do a specific " work out " routine. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Donna
