Not in my experience. I have used one or the other for years. In my

experience the stiffness and cramps caused by LDN is only cured by

reducing the dose but then it may not have any positive effects.

Try it for a few days. It's a bit of a balancing act. You will soon

know if the side effects are worse than the positive effects. You may

be OK.

Hi Len

I was very concerned about taking LDN and getting more spasms and stiffness too. But I have been on LDN for 11 months and my spasms have eased up quite a bit. I am on tegretol for the spasms. I use to take it 3 to 4 times per day and now 2 times and sometimes only once cause I forget to take it. I never got stiffer. So you might be surprised when you get on the LDN. All you can do is try.

I couldn't take Bacoflen or Norflex cause it would work in reverse of what it was suppose to do for me. It would make me stiffer. Extremely stiff. Good Luck

Marie

Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Baclofen and LDN stiffness

Just wondering if taking Baclofen and Tizanidine would reduce stiffness from LDN because I take if for the MS spasms and stiffness. I have appointment to see a Dr. in my area that prescribes LDN and really want to get started on it, but I'm a little afraid of even MORE stiffness then I already have (especially the night cramps). I'm hoping I can continue taking both Baclofen and Tizanidine. Anyone taking both? Lennie

Yes Lennie,

I am taking LDN and Baclofen - mind you, before starting LDN I was

taking 25mg baclofen 3 times a day - but decided to reduce that to

half a 25mg tablet, 3 times a day the same time I started LDN just

cause I wasnt too sure how the two would go together - and so far, so

good, I am still spasming and stiff but only in the mornings now, and

not all day - of course, it all depends on how much continuous

sitting I do, and If i dont stand and move those muscles, its worse,

no matter what I take - so, we just gotta keep those muscles

stretched and supple - give them alittle help.

Friday, hope this helps

Lennie,

I take Zaneflex for spasms. I also use 4.5mg of LDN since last July with no problems. I was stiff and spastic before I started LDN and still am but it is no worse. Since I started LDN here has been significant improvement with urinary urgency and frequency. Also improvement with leg strength and balance.

Regards,

Tom
