Guest guest
Hi Kathi, I need to ask this silly question, please bear with me. Here it goes: how did she get her fish to be tested???? My son loves to eat tilapia, that's one of the few things that is not deep fried which I hope he'd continue to love to eat, given that the fish does not contain any heavy metals. Please advice. I'm always curious how I would know if tilapia is okay or not. Thanks, Joanna. > > Message: 17 > Date: Wed, 1 Nov 2000 20:23:23 EST > From: Mycoltjoe@... > Subject: Re: Re: Chelation Results--WOW! Guest guest
Dear Tina, I haven't checked my water yet. We installed a water purification system 4 years ago when we built this house. After that I did not think about checking the water. To the second question, no, my son has no fillings. He hates sweets, eats a lot of veggies and rice ( But I have alot of fillings. They are coming out next week with DMSA Answer to the third question is, no, in the past few years he has not been given any shots. Antibiotics for ear infections, but no shots. The shampoo is & 's Baby Shampoo. I just checked the ingredients and it doesn't say " thimerosal " anywhere... <sigh> We'll keep looking, won't we? Lots of Love, Sheela. Guest guest
Don't worry Barb All it means is that all the " silver " is going to be taken out and he is going to give me some DMSA to chelate me too He (my dentist) thinks that I may have some metals in me too. I have four more " silvers " to lose. Thanks for your concern Love, Sheela. Have them removed by a mercury-free dentist, then chelate. Otherwise you could get very ill. Just concerned. You probably already know this. Guest guest
Mel: I appreciate your posting the Discover article on the placebo effect. The original article was indeed a travesty for a number of reasons. First and foremost the original article adopted a very narrow view of what a placebo is and does, as well as the time course over which placeboes might operate. It had many of us whose main research focus is the placebo effect (the effect of expectation or expectancy) and who realized how inappropriate their analyses were in relation to the phenomenon, scratching our heads. It is nice to know that the backlash has begun and this article also points me to some new findings. Thanks again, Jack Darkes University of South Florida Tampa, FL
Guest guest
Jane: I too had a bad reaction at these sites for my 11 year-old son with Asperger's. It is my understanding/experience that for Asperger's it is safe to train on the right side of the head only. Left side training accentuates the negative behaviors. I have had success training at T4P4A2, rewarding SMR(10-13) and inhibiting Theta and HiBeta. Going is slow, we have trained hundreds of sessions at this site, but we are still seeing progress. My son is calmer and more present oriented. Again going is slow, but worth it. Guest guest
Hi, My name is , I am in WA and have just joined this list. I am currently using and loving the WFN centrifuged VCO. I cook with it and every morning add 1TBS to my coffee. I know that this is a coconut oil forum, but I am very new with even eating coconut as I couldn't take the flavor when I was younger. I have just for the first time ordered some coconut flour because of the health benefits of the higher fiber etc. and was wondering if anyone on this list uses the flour for cooking and baking and if you would be willing to share some info and recipes. Thanks, in WA
Guest guest
Hi , Here is my recipe for Banana Bread: Banana Bread 1 ? c. flour of your liking (Tried Quinoa and Rice) 1 c. coconut flour ? tsp sea salt 1 tsp. baking soda ? c. Coconut Oil ? c. Honey 2 eggs, beaten 1 c. mashed ripe bananas 2-3 tbsp. hot water ? c. chopped soaked walnuts In a medium bow, stir together the pastry flour, coconut flour, sea salt and baking soda. Set aside. Melt the oil in a bowl of hot water, stir in with honey. Add beaten eggs, mashed bananas, and stir vigorously, combining thoroughly. Carefully stir in about half of the dry ingredients, then half of the hot water. Now add the rest of the dry ingredients, then the rest of the hot water, making a light, smooth dough. Last of all stir in the nuts. Fill a greased pan with coconut oil, bake at 300 degrees for 85 minutes or until brown. This is a very delicious and moist bread. Guest guest
Mike; My very first thought is, have you tried the Asian markets? That's where I've had my biggest sucess for FRESH young and mature coconuts. Here, they run about $1.50 ea for the young and they are very full of coconut water with either the soft meat or the inmature gel insted of meat, yum!
