Guest guest
Dear Alan, Please understand that no one at the National MS Society wishes to impede the treatment of people with MS in any way, and we are certainly not in cahoots with the pharmaceutical companies. It is our sincerest wish that every person with MS have access to safe and effective treatments. We do not, however, conduct clinical trials, nor are we in a position to do so. As is clearly stated on our web site, the Society is open to considering any high quality and relevant research protocol. We agree that there is no downside to supporting a clinical trial of any agent that has the potential to treat MS safely and effectively and we suggest that you encourage/convince physicians who see benefits in their patients to design, propose, and undertake the studies that would meet the standards of the scientific community and of the regulatory authorities. lind Kalb lind C.
