hey fellow LDNer's

I still wonder about this - I researched lyme disease too as a possible alternative diagnosis when symptoms started June 02'- lyme is now in Australia too(uncommon though or is it? - I was surprised to discover that) - I was concerned because when I lived in Wisconsin for about a year(circa 2000 -engaged to an American at time - (climate a bit too shocking for warm mild winter Aussie gal here lol!) I was out in the woods a lot walking the dogs by the lake - I saw many wild deer a lot in the woods (in summer )and lyme disease is known to be from deer tick- (other animals can carry too I believe ... I came back itching a lot sometimes-I just wondered - first onset of MS 3 years later ) -so had lyme test- said negative- but I believe from these blood tests they can GET IT WRONG AND ARE NOT ALWAYS HAVING IT SHOW UP(accuracy?) till much later (lyme) (I would suggest going to different blood work labs too-if questioning it yourself) so I still wonder ya know ? - my symptoms are all MS - I was looking for a softer dx - I still wonder if I should do the tetracycline thing(3 months of it,,, ongoing) to see what happens ? Lyme appears the same as MS lesion wise on MRI's and presents pretty much the same - It has always concerned me - and also just before my mum died in October 03' she told me very tearfully that I had contracted measles when I was a 3 week old newborn(from hospital - maternity) and she was very worried (the viral dormant thing-activated later on?) - back in 1961 they didn't realise how dangerous measles- especially to young newborn - can be as much as they do now. There are just so many possible factors -the list can be endless-that can make up the final picture that creates this dis - ease?

p.s. I also went for a walk with friends one day here in the bush in Sydney and they came back covered in ticks but I didn't have any? - but only one infected tick can bite and fall off and BINGO! - recalled that too - it doesn't always cause the lyme tell tale rash on everyone either - I found out.

Makes you wonder doesn't it? - so many factors here

take care guys - great support all of you in this group have been to me - I thank the Universe for the day I was led to this site
