Im confused.....Topamax is a siezure medication, I've been on it for 3 yrs now. Why would this other doctor suggest you try Topamax instead of LDN?? Does he not know the difference between the 2?? Talk about one not having all his Marbles!!!

I'm glad you're Neuro is writing the script anyway, and you'll be starting LDN...

Lots of luck to you. Let us know how you're doing!

God Bless

Hi .. That is a tough question. LDN can be taken with

anything bar narcotics so there is no drug conflict there but they

work in opposite ways and it is argued may cancel eachother out. My

husband started LDN mid prednisone but only did so because the

prednisone was not working at all. Had it been working, the plan was

to start LDN once the course completed although Dr Bihari had no

issue with him taking both at the same time. I would apply the same

tactic here .. but please know it really has to be your own call and

within your own comfort level. I would finish the steroids and as

long as they are working hold on the LDN ... then as soon as you are

done I would start the LDN .. mid vacation or not ... I would not

waste any time. Should the steroids not be as effective or fail then

I would recommend starting the LDN sooner. My husband is going to

start a course of prednisone and remain on LDN to get over his latest

episode. You could also do that. He also started taking 500 mg DL

Phenylalanine twice daily to boost endorphins... chances are he is

still immune to prednisone but we will see.

Good luck with your decision
