Guest guest
Lyndell, I experienced severe ringing in the ears for more than 30 years!. I found that in my case it was due to what in Ayurveda is called deranged Vata. A bowel cleanse can definitely derange Vata as the large intestine is the main site of Vata. I have found that Valerian tincture will stop it in 6 hours or less. If the ringing is severe I take 1-3 whole droppers in a glass of warm water. Ayurveda has helped me to understand and control these energetic imbalances. There are many things which can upset vata. My favorite books on the subject are Ayurvedic Healing by Frawley and Prakruti by Svoboda. Good luck. Guest guest
Hi Lyn I have heard quite a few people talk about it on the yeast list and was wondering if this person suffers from an intestinal yeast disorder? They also mention that with the elimination of wheat products (and maybe dairy) that the ringing goes away. Could it be caused by the toxins being removed from the colon left by wheat residue? Guest guest
I suffered from tinnitis (ringing in the ears) for more than 30 years. I tried many remedies including acupuncture, but nothing helped until I discovered Ayurveda. At least in my case, the tinnitis is indicative of a vata imbalance (one of my primary doshas). Since I now balance my diet and activities according to Ayurvedic principles, I am free from tinnitis for the most part. There are unavoidable circumstances (long distance travel for example) which will cause the ringing. However, I can control it easily with a tincture of Valerian (other herbs may also be present as in certain sleep formulae). Valerian should not be used every day, however, as it can be " tamasic " . An intestinal cleanse and lack of sleep are very vata imbalancing. There are other herbs (such as Echinacea) which can also imbalance vata and lead to tinnitis. Ayurveda is the greates tool I have discovered for remaining healthy ( combined with a healthy diet, meditation and physical exercise). Guest guest
The fact that the tinnitis began abruptly during a cleanse indicates strongly that it is a dosha imbalance of a temporary nature. Why not look for the root cause instead of looking in the ears. There are may conditions of imbalance which are addressed by wholistic practices such as Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine...I know of other cases besides my own which have been helped by doshic adjustments such as Valerian, or even simpler, removing the offending substance (many allopathic substances cause Vata imbalance) or practice. Enemas will relieve constipation, but can later cause rebound constipation if just done with water rather than oil. Ayurveda has worked for 6000 years... ---Dr Noel <noelc@...> wrote: > > From: " Dr Noel " <noelc@...> > > There has been some success using lasers but I do not have the details. > > Also have a dentist check the patient for TMJ problems. Guest guest
Dear Lyn, Ozone in the ears at 1/32 or 1/16 liters/minute will do the trick. 5 minutes per ear per day. Draining will commence, and may be profuse. Itching may also result. Take lots of protease to counteract the effects of the healing crisis. Best of Health! Guest guest
Dear Dr. , The draining is candida that has been oxidized and leaves via the ear canal in lymphatic fluid, as near as we can tell. It is usually a light yellow or amber color, and it can be very acidic, sometimes even burning the outer ear. Kleenex in the ear canal is sometimes necessary to prevent soiling of the pillowcase at night. We have over 300 people who have done this technique. The flow rate needs to be fairly low, either 1/32, 1/16 or 1/8 l/m. In the Model 60 you get the same concentration at any of those flow rates (45 - 48 ug/cc), so only the total amount of ozone changes. Start slow and work your way up. Five minutes per ear is sufficient to start with. Some people will be able to take more over time and work their way up to 10 or even 15 minutes per ear. Often there is no effect for a long time, and then suddenly, " the dam bursts " and they have a powerful healing response. If it is brain cancer, 15 minutes per ear, twice per day is needed. The person should be warned that draining will be profuse and possibly uncomfortable. They need to persevere, and good results will come. The answer to every healing crisis that manifests is to supply the person with large amounts of protease, 6 - 18 capsules per day, depending on the severity of the reaction. There is no upper limit on the amount of protease a person can take. The body will happily store unused protease for future use. With my wife, I have seen protease stop a severe itching attack in ten minutes. Each person will be different as to the length of time necessary to clean out the toxins in their particular system. In general, 15 treatments would be required, with as many as 45 in some sever cases, such as brain cancer. We have seen long standing deafness cured with this technique, and even an eardrum that was perforated for over 20 years regrow as good as new. Best of Health to you and your patients! Guest guest
Saul, I was glad to read this posting. My ears were not affected by the insufflations for over two weeks while insufflating them sometimes three times a day and then the dam burst as you say and I then had to slow down. Also you said that the discharge is acidic which can burn the outer skin in the ear. Mine has developed scabs from the discharge. So now I need to ask you if protease is something I can find in a health food store or must it be ordered. Thanks ahead of time for the info. Donna Subject: ringing in the ears Dear , I wanted to let you know that mercury poisoning can cause both ear ringing and recurrent yeast infections. I realize this is not what you asked! Guest guest
This just came into another group I belong to. --------- Bringing Coenzyme Q10 levels back up to normal helps patients with tinnitus. Tinnitus is described as a ringing or hissing in the ear (not caused by noise). In one study 20 patients with tinnitus in both ears (tinnitus aurium) had their Coenzyme Q10 levels checked and the level of tinnitus evaluated. They were supplemented with Coenzyme Q10 for 16- weeks. Coenzyme Q10 supplementation raised their blood Coenzyme Q10 levels and improved tinnitus in those initially low in CoQ10. The study was performed at Charite-University Medicine in Berlin and is published in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. > Tinnitus is a common symptom of the Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ) and is associated with a poor bite relationship leading to grinding and clenching and inflammation of the joint. I also overall increased the total number of supplements /day. I usually rotate them-erratically. Was hoping to get to a more rational, organized protocol- but I think I changed too much at once. Guest guest
Hi Adrienne, Perhaps the coq10 was too stimulating? Too " energizing " ? Did you eat any differently than usual? I'm finding that mine gets worse depending on what I eat -- I think if I eat too much fat -- even if it's borage oil or another EFA -- the ringing gets worse. Sometimes it turns into pulsatile tinnitus, which suggests a circulation problem, but then it lessens later on... Guest guest
Have you ever tried cholestyramine? because what you say about the ringing in your ears indicates to me that you may be dealing with enterohepatic recirculation of a toxin (in your bile) like a mold toxin or an endotoxin, both of which can be in enterohepatic recirculation and both which can be removed by bile acid sequestrants like cholestyramine, welchol, etc. Why does this happen? Eating fat makes your bile circulate and that may end up sending the toxins dissolved in it through your bloodstream yet another time when they get reabsorbed by your small intestine. Thats why your ears start ringing.. There are other signs too, pins and needles in your fingers and toes, feelings of inflammation.. Do you get anything like that also some times when you eat fats? You may want to check out Mold Warriors.. Neuroprotective agents like ubiquinone treat the effects of toxins but a much better approach is to do your best to get them out of your body.. then repair the damage they did..
