Guest guest
Separation of virgin coconut oil form coconut milk. Separation of Oil from coconut emulsion (milk) is certainly feasible, as the emulsion would resolve itself under a high centrifugal force of 20000-x g in the HG-16 Tubular Bowl Centrifuge into a free oil phase, an aqueous phase and the protein phase. We take this opportunity to brief you on the design and working of the super centrifuge offered by us: The Super Centrifuge is vertical model tubular bowl centrifuge, which rotates up o 17000 rpm and thereby generating centrifugal force 20000 times gravity force. The mixture of two immiscible liquid (say oil and water) having difference in specific gravity is feed into the rotating bowl through stationery feed nozzle at the bottom. Due to extremely high centrifugal force, the two liquids will get separated and will form the concentric cylindrical layers of liquid. Heavy liquid (water) held near to the wall of centrifuge bowl and lighter liquid (oil) forming the inner concentric layer. These two layers gets continuously get displace by incoming liquid and then comes out separately through suitably designed covers. Suspended solids if present get settled against the bowl wall under the high centrifugal force. The solid holding volume of our HG-16 model Super Centrifuge is 5.25 liters. It means that once this much volume of solids is deposited inside the bowl of centrifuge the solids are to be removed manually after stopping the machine. Stopping the machine, cleaning the bowl and restarting takes about 20-25 minutes The process conditions such as emulsion temperature, pH etc upstream of the HG-16 centrifuge would however, determine the ultimate moisture content in the free oil. Our machines can guarantee a moisture level below 0.1% Model HG-16 Tubular Bowl Centrifuge would be expected to operate satisfactorily at ~100 liters /hr. But its rated Capacity for coconut milk is 200 LPH, emulsion feed rate to give, a practically acceptable performance. As such HG-16 model super centrifuge is a continuous separator of the two liquid phases. We trust the information given is in line with your requirement. H & G Technomark Inc, Cochin, INDIA.
