zinc and white marks on nails

I for the first time (these last few months) ever have had a white fleck on one

of my nails, commonly associated with a zinc deficiency.

I googled zinc and myelin (myelin damage being one of my favourite theories re

ES) and saw that it was a vital part of myelin.

So whilst some say the zinc deficiency cause is a myth (and others say it can

also be calcium, etc), I was wondering whether anybody else had such white

flecks on the nails?
