Guest guest
I'm testing to make sure that this works too, but I also have a question for ya'll In 3 weeks, I take Matt to a new Psych for Medication consult. He is on Naltrexone, and we had some major problems after his last surgery. I finally found someone in our general area who has experience with autism and meds, and who is on our insurance plan and who is taking new patients, and who is open before 6 months time. (Lots of " and who is... " to fill). It seems like you all send a copy of the Disability Solutions to the doc before going. Has that been well received? I just took a copy up to the school, asked them to copy it for all of Matt's " teachers " and distribute. Haven't heard back yet, but he is on track break right now anyway. So, when I send in the qquestionnairethat they will send me to fill out (I had to request that, she said to come about 1/2 hour early and fill it out there, I said it is easier if I do it at home and bring or send it in. Is it right to expect that the psych will review all of this stuff before we get there? This is a private psych, not a bbig university affiliated program. Thanks Have a good day. Guest guest
Are you aware that toxins that deprive cells of oxygen cause the cells to mutate as they split, so that within two generations the cells become generic " trophoblasts " that no longer have the characteristics of their parent cells? Cells that become trophoblas through mitosis can take on any other characteristic, and tumors they form can contain teeth, hair, and other strange body parts. In essence, the body recognizes that it is being destroyed, and it is making an effort to give birth to a new body that can survive in the alien environment that is poisoning the old body. Some trophoblasts are anerobic. That is, they have learned how to live in the absence of oxygen. While normal cells convert oxygen and glucose into carbon dioxide and water, cancer cells convert glucose into lactic acid, and that puts a terrible load on the liver because the acid is toxic. As the cancer cells proliferate, they rob normal cells of glucose and cause the body to shrivel (cachexia). What this means is that your father is being poisoned to death. If you discover what is poisoning him and get it away from him, and then work to boost his immune system, his body might start to heal itself, and maybe he will not die young. What about poisons in the body? There are several kinds of poisons that are processed, and the body has several ways of getting rid of them. 1. Intestines - feces, as you probably know, is toxic and loaded with bad bacteria that can make people perpetually sick. The good bacteria in the small intestine clean intestine walls and produce B vitamins from proteins. They are suppressed by yeasts and bad bacteria, and killed outright by antibiotics and poisons like alcohol. Impacted feces in the small and large intestine impedes absorption of nutrients into the blood stream and produces a massive shock to the body from bacterial toxins. Bacteria in a congeste colon back up into bile ducts, get coated with bile, and produce stones. Toxins from the liver are carried by bile into the large intestine just beyond the illyocecal valve that separates the colon from the small intestine. It is, therefore, very dangerous to a person if there is fecal impaction in that area, and in most cancer victims there is such an impaction. Intestines are also frequently infested with parasites, and parasites do not confine themselves to the intestines. The eggs from parasites are small enough to enter the blood stream and be carried to various organs. If there are solvents entering the body through skin or lungs, the egg shells can break down and hatch. The hatchlings emit an enzyme that causes rapid mitosis (splitting of cells), and that may affect adjacent cells, causing them to become trophoblastic. Parasites are a very real danger and possible cause of cancer in the intestines and other organs. 2. Liver - while the liver's main job is conversion of carbohydrates to glucose for energizing the cells, it also detoxifies the blood. Toxins enter the blood from cellular waste and from unhealthy intestines, poisoned food in the alimentary canal, and poisoned air in the lungs. Liver stones impede removal of the toxins through bile because they clog bile ducts. Once the liver is loaded with stones, they back up into the gall bladder, so if there are gall stones there are always liver stones. Furthermore, cancer cells producing lactic acid overwork the liver and that can not only destroy liver function but also make a person lose energy and motivation. 3. Lungs - since the blood goes through the lungs to discharge carbon dioxide and take in oxygen, the lungs are also a place either to expel other toxins from the blood, or to inject toxins into the blood. 4. Skin - the skin is the largest organ in the body, and toxins are both exuded and ingested through the skin. 5. Lymph - the lymph system is an additional path through which cells discharge toxins. Certain cellular fluids are not put directly into the blood stream but " leak " out of the cell walls, and the channels of the lymphatic system carry them into the aorta. There is no pump for the lymph system, as there is a heart for the blood system. To pump the lymph, one needs to breathe heavily and do physical exercise. The diaphragm is the best stimulus for lymphatic flow, but it must be moving vigorously to do much good. Any restriction of the flow of lymph, or lack of exercise that fails to pump it toward the aorta, can result in pooling of toxins in one area of the body, with a consequent increase in trophoblast production in the area and subsequent development of cancer. A gruesome example is breast cancer - the incidence is dramatically increased for women who wear brassieres. A bra binds beneath the armpits and cuts off lymph flow, causing it to pool in breast tissue. 6. Blood - this fluid of life can be deficient in the cells the attack foreign invaders. Such immune system cells include killer T-Cells, leucocytes and macrophages. Cancer cells are enshrouded in a protein sheath that makes immune system cells see them as normal body tissue and ignore them. Pancreatic enzymes trypsin and chymotrypsin dissolve the protein sheath, revealing cancer cells as enemies, and macrophages then engulf and destroy them. An excess of animal flesh in the diet conscripts these pancreatic enzymes and prevents them from doing their important job in ridding the body of cancer cells. Blood can contain numerous toxins that poison tissue at the same time as giving nutritients. Blood vessels can be clogged or coated with plaque, preventing important nutrients from reaching cells. It is easy to clean the arteries so that they work properly, and it is easy to detoxify the blood. What can you do to detox the body and get good nutrients into it? 1. Cleanse the intestines, liver, kidneys, and blood, and keep them clean. For info, go to http://cures for cancer.ws and see the cleanses section, or go to http://healthfree.com. 2. Keep the skin and lungs clean and free of external toxins, solvents, pollutants 3. Drink pure or alkaline water - at least 1/2 gallon a day (minimum 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight). 4. Drink fresh, raw, organic, whole juices from nuts, fruits, berries and vegetables daily (easier than eating), or eat FRESH, RAW, ORGANIC nuts, grains, fruits, berries, and vegetables daily (this kind of juice/food must be at least 65% of diet). Don't eat meat, and if you do, eat it raw. 5. Add to diet: 5 fat cloves of crushed garlic, a tablespoon of cayenne pepper, two tablespoons of flax oil mixed with a cup of cottage cheese, 5 tablespoons of agaricus blazei mushrooms, 1 tablespoon of bitter apricot kernels, and 1 tablespoon of red meeker rasberry seeds daily. 6. Take vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and immune boosters daily. In particular, 5G vitamin C, 2-4G vitamin E, colloidal minerals, echinacea, cat's claw, ellagic acid, pancreatic enzymes, cider vinegar, selenium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, zinc, boron, copper, 7. Do daily vigorous exercises that force heavy breathing for at least half an hour. I recommend a small round trampoline. They are about a foot high and 3 feet in diameter. Bouncing on it gets the blood AND lymph flowing. 8. Rub or scrub the skin vigorously, do a hot-cold-cycle shower for 15 minutes (hot then cold 30 seconds each). If possible get someone to give you a cold sheet treatment once or twice a week. This will shove the toxins out of the skin. The cold sheet treatment is dramatic in its effect. Read about it at http://healthfree.com. 9. Prostate cancer can be relieved by big doses of saw palmetto berry. Look for a supplement that contains it. There are many MORE things you can do that are much more expensive, and you can get recommendations from practitioners by subscribing to cures for cancer-subscribe . The nutrients are the most horrifying expense because they are (insanely) not covered by any insurance plan. I hope this information helps. A cancer cure entails much work and a complete change of lifestyle and diet/exercise regimens. Most people are too weak to do it themselves, which is why they are in the mess of having cancer to begin with. Ultimately, if they do not embrace the change with as much gusto and sincerity they can manage, they will resort to typical chemo, radiation, and/or surgery therapies and die an early death anyway, and with much less money in the bank. God bless you and keep you in your work to cure your daddy. Guest guest
Bob, I was very interested in reading what you had to say about trophoblasts and tumorigenesis, the role of toxins and parasites. I hope the recipient of your email finds something for her dad. As you are probably aware the TCM herb qinghao (artemisia annua) kills parasites by the oxidative stress process you describe, *yet* qinghao is being experimented with as an anti-cancer agent in the west, and indeed has been used in China for that purpose: " It has been applied in several thousand cases of tertian malaria , malignant malaria, cerebral malaria and those patients with chloroquine tolerance. " [1]. Here is some background for anyone interested; however my question " How long might qinghao be used before it becomes potentially tumorigenic? " is interesting to consider : From http://homepages.uel.ac.uk/4474p/qingh.htm a description of the action of the herb on parasite metabolism is given: " The compound is activated by the intra-parasitic haem to irreversibly decompose, generating free radicals that alkylate and oxidises proteins and lipids. The membrane of the parasite is damaged by lipid peroxidation and channel proteins' inactivation. (Ridley & Hudson 1998). .. " . Synergy of artemisinin derivatives and chemotoxic agents on the parasite have also been shown " Artesunate, a qinghaosu derivative, showed synergistic effects with miconazole, and with doxorubicin, both of which have been suggested to exert their chemotherapeutic effect through increasing the oxidant stress. In contrast, catalase, dithiothreitol and alpha-tocopherol reduced the effectiveness of qinghaosu in vitro. " [2] By analogy with cancer cells a similar action was theorised by Lai and Singh in 1995 and shown to have a specific effect on leukemia: " Rapid cell death, as evidenced by a decrease in cell counts, was observed when molt-4-lymphoblastoid cells, a human leukemia cell line, were exposed to holotransferrin (12 microM) and dihydroartemisinin (1-200 microM). ...... This drug combination may provide a novel approach for cancer treatment. " [3]. Subsequent work by Lai and Singh has been to demonstrate activity against breast cancer cells in vitro using holotransferrin to load cancer cells with iron which subsequently triggers the oxidative action of artemisinin [4] A possibly wider spectrum of activity has been found in the water soluble synthetic derivative of artemisinin, artesunate (ART) " ART was most active against leukemia and colon cancer cell lines (mean GI50 values: 1.11+/-0.56 microM and2.13+/-0.74 microM , respectively). " and " Intermediate GI50 values were obtained for melanomas, breast, ovarian, prostate, CNS, and renal cancer cell lines. Importantly, a comparison of ART's cytotoxicity with those of other standard cytostatic drugs showed that ART was active in molar ranges comparable to those of established anti-tumor drugs. For such cases, it is used fresh in a large dosage and mixed with water to produce a juice for oral use, or the dried drug is boiled into a decoction for oral administration. Now, some tablets and injections are made from the drug for convenience of clinical application. It is also used to cure pruritus due to heat in blood. Dosage and Preparation: 10-15 g. For malaria, it is 20-40 g. If used fresh, the dosage should be doubled. Decoct no longer than five minutes. Remarks: Herba Artemisiae Annuae is bitter and cold, and is fairly effective in purging deficiency and excess heat. It is aromatic, and so can also eliminate dampness and treat heat syndrome complicated by dampness. This drug has been used in the treatment of malaria since ancient times. Through recent scientific research, an antimalarial ingredient, artemisinine, has been extracted from this drug. Since iron influx is high in cancer cells, artemisinin and its analogs selectively kill cancer cells under conditions that increase intracellular iron concentrations. We report here that after incubation with holotransferrin, which increases the concentration of ferrous iron in cancer cells, dihydroartemisinin, an analog of artemisinin, effectively killed a type of radiation-resistant human breast cancer cell in vitro. The same treatment had considerably less effect on normal human breast cells. Since it is relatively easy to increase the iron content inside cancer cells in vivo, administration of artemisinin-like drugs and intracellular iron-enhancing compounds may be a simple, effective, and economical treatment for cancer. 5: Int J Oncol 2001 Apr;18(4):767-73 ; The anti-malarial artesunate is also active against cancer.
Distributed throughout the country, it is cut and collected in summer when the branches and leaves are growing luxuriantly and before it blossoms, and dried in the shade with the tough stems removed: Taste and Property: Bitter, and cold. Attributive Meridian : Liver and gallbladder meridians. Actions and Indications: (1) < snip > (2) < snip > (3) < snip > (4) To treat malaria, including malignant malaria. It has been applied in several thousand cases of tertian malaria , malignant malaria, cerebral malaria and those patients with chloroquine tolerance. The results show that it is more effective than chloroquine and other antimalarial drugs, with the advantages of low toxicity and quick result. Guest guest
Unfortunately, I'm from Michigan, so I can't help with doctors in your area, but I do want to tell you that I'm a huge proponent of the Hellers Lap. Myotomy. I even had a perforation on the operating table which kept me in surgery for several more hours and added a couple of days in the hospital for me, but I wouldn't change a thing about my decision to go forward with the surgery. I had two dilations and a botox injection before my GI dr referred me to my surgeon to do the Hellers. I still have spasms, and my food does usually only go down by gravity, but it gets down where it's supposed to go now, instead of sitting in my esophagus and brewing. I also took the sublingual nitro for a while, and just switched to Levsin, which seems to have a slightly better rate of return than the nitro, without all the nasty headaches and shakiness. I'm so surprised that the doctors would do so many dilations on you. To the other members of the group, have any of you had that many? Guest guest
Barbara; My doc who has done two hips for me is Doc Winquist in Seattle. I don't know if he has experience with dysplasic hips but I'm sure if he's uncomfortable treating you he will let you know! We had many discussions prior to him doing my revision; he was not familar with the device used and wasnt sure how easily it would come out. After conversations with the manufacuring rep he did the surgery and everything went fine. I dont know of any other docs who have been so honest and would take the extra time to make sure the outcome is successful. He is conservative in his approach (which I like) and is willing to discuss things with you. I was refered to him by a friend of mine who also had a hip done by him, what impressed me was that this was a plastic/metal device pre highly crosslinking, which has an average life expectancy of 10 yrs. My friends is 15 and still going strong; the amazing thing is that he does way more than what he should be with the hip . Doc Winquist calls him the luckiest man alive. I believe (although there is no evidence to support this) that my friends "luck" is largely due to Doc Winquist skill in obtaining the best fit and alignment. I'm sure there are other good ones in Seattle and I wish you the best of luck in your selction, but whomever you selectI PLEASE don't see Doc Scranton. He did my first thr. I selected him largely due to his position as the Seattle Seahawks Doc. What a mistake! I suffered with his hip for eight yrs during which I could never walk right. I went for several second opinions ; one flat out stated that the hip didn't fit me and should be replaced immediately. Ive never heard a doctor speak so negatively about another doctors work! recommendations Does anyone have recommendations for docs in Washington state, Spokane or Seattle? I'm looking for an OS with experience in THR on congenital dysplasic hips that have previously been "restructured." I'm sorry to say that I am not a candidate for POA or resurfacing, but thankfully I do have some time to find a reputable surgeon that I am comfortable with handling my case. It has been very encouraging and educational reading posts from this group. Thanks in advance for any direction on selecting a doc. -Barb

LIke how many times > a week for a beginner. well, in a nut-shell, a good well-rounded fitness program includes: - cardio - strength training - flexibility training (stretching/yoga) most people feel comfortable starting with cardio activities, walking/biking/dancing for example -- any activity that will raise your heartrate for a minimum of 20 mins. so i suggest that you do cardio for a minimum of 3 times a week to start. after you accomplish that for a period of time, you can lengthen the time of each cardio session, or add more frequent cardio sessions and/or vary the cardio activities that you are doing. soon then you can add in some strength training twice each week using your body-weight only and/or very light dumbells. same as you do for cardio, lengthen/increase frequency/vary your strength training sessions, along with gradually increasing the weights that you are using. alternate your cardio workouts with your strength workouts, doing cardio one day, strength training the next. spend, oh, 5-10 mins, after each training session (whether you do cardio or strength training) to stretch all of your muscles and eventually you can also add one day of more intense stretching to your week. by then you will be up to 6 days a week... the 7th can then be for rest. :*carolyn. Guest guest
I’ve read some good advice re exercise programs, but wanted to add my 2 cents. My kids (6, 6 and 3) all love yoga. I do it with them but as a SAHM exercise is my me time. I make a point of doing active things with the kids –like biking or walking or playing at the playground. On occasion my 6 year old girl does ballet workouts with me and my 6 year old son enjoys kickboxing type workouts and he wants to try lifting with me (I’m not sure about kids lifting though). Other active things we enjoy together include dancing (they especially like freeze dance I think it is called where you freeze in place when the music stops – with a remote you can join in lol), swimming and gym type activities like balance beams, stability ball, rolling and climbing. And more traditional party games like obstacle courses and wheelbarrow. Ball games are great too. And songs with movement (head shoulders knees and toes is great after a good play workout, there are about a zillion more)One of our favorite workouts is for me to lift them by their feet and swing them upside down. Playground games are fun too if you just let yourself have a good time and don’t worry about looking like a fool. I guess my point is that for my kids at least if you say lets exercise they will look at me like I’m insane (which could be trueJ but if I say lets go have fun they have jackets and shoes on and are out the door. My kids enjoy the Yogakids series and Wai Lana Little Yogis. I prefer the Yogakids, because I think it is more a well rounded practice and especially in Yogakids Silly to Calm it has a definite order (starting out with silly things to help the kids get into the stuff that requires more concentration or calm like balancing exercises and breathing exercises. The Wai Lana has the advantage of cutsy music and little movies inbetween poses so the kids 1. Don’t get bored. and 2. They know what is coming next. I’d suggest a kid preview of each or try one in each series if that isn’t possible. As for my personal exercise other than just being active with the kids I like to do a combo of weights, cardio, yoga, and what I call other toning videos (like Pilates or ballet workouts) When I start back with “real” exercise (like after giving birth or being sick) I evaluate my condition and add one thing at a time. For example after giving birth I may say well my muscles need toning and I need to lose weight. So I’d start with non-weight toning work (until recovered from birth) and then go on to alternating cardio and weight work (this is how I always lose the weight) I like to start slow and work myself up to a more challenging schedule so I may start out with 1 cardio session and 1 weight or toning session a week and work up to 3 of each. And then re-evaluate. I’m not sure how much can be done with kids – dance cardio, walking workouts and yoga are probably easiest. But you also may want to think about scheduling at least 1 day a week where you can do personal workouts – weights can be hard to do with kids around and I really feel it is an important part of any female’s fitness routine. Also I feel it is important for my kids to see me having an active lifestyle and to share that with them. My personal favorites to start out always end up being the Firm workouts. I find them easy to adjust to my condition. I also like Pilates (I’ve tried Winsor Pilates, Lotte Berk Method, a couple of the stability ball ones – I enjoy them all – actually never tried a Pilates workout I don’t love – I love the ball workouts more than anything) The dance type workouts are fun too. But sometimes I find them a bit cheesy –I love bellydancing, but I’m not great at it. No one will ever say wow she’s a great dancer but I have fun. If you let us know what type of workouts you enjoy I bet you will get a dozen recommendations of specifics (every time I ask I think to myself oh that sounds great and have such a hard time making up my mind). Guest guest
Hi, , nice to meet you. I'm , married, 36 (but holding at 25) with one son. I'm also known in this predominantly-female group as the token male. You said you weren't into kickboxing because you want something your kids can do. There is a Blanks Tae Bo workout for kids. I've never looked at it, just seen it advertised. I'm in to martial arts and that kind of stuff, so I can tell you that kickboxing is a great workout even for beginners. Nice to meet you! > > Hello everyone, > > I am new to this group and am looking for advice. I am in my late 30's, married and 5 children (11, 10, 6, 6, 5) and have decided that I really need to tone and loose a little weight. I am looking for an exercise dvd that is fun to do and won't kill me the first time I do it. I also want my kids to be able to join in so no kickboxing stuff right now. > I also need some advice on the best workout method? Guest guest
Thanks you so much to everyone that as given there advice. I am looking into everything. your life looks like a mirror to mine. The name the twins and the younger sibling. Thank you for your advice. Sprague <kittyn@...> wrote: I’ve read some good advice re exercise programs, but wanted to add my 2 cents. Guest guest
Here are the recommendations that I was given. It is " confidential " but screw that. May any part of this help anyone in the quest to heal. There is much more than this in doing a recovery program so glean from it what you can. Everyone has their own " case " and may we find what we have in common. Please don't quote me or any doctor if you forward this information. A 1st most important, would be to find someone to do Neural therapy (treatment of scar) for you in respect to your head injury. You may want to contact the Academy to find a name of a doctor who has been trained by Dr. Klinghardt. I would like to warn you , that the list of doctors they have does not guaranty that they are well trained in this field so make sure to study thier crudentials well. 2.
