Dangit - sorry if a blank response just came through LOL!! Hey Diane - should I tell you about the week I went over my points by NINETY NINE??!! Yep, that was above and beyond the daily points I am allowed, the weekly flex points and any activity points I earned that week. Interestingly enough, I had a "big" loss that week (2.6 lbs) - weird. I don't recommend eating like that all the time LOL because the scale will go UP vs DOWN, but keeping track of the points is very helpful (good, bad or ugly - it helps) in WAWho's never won? Guest guest
> My name is Diane and I just joined the group. I live in Central > Florida. Welcome! I lived in Kissimmee for 10 months and we plan on going back when hubby retires. My dad lived in Buena Ventura Lakes in Kissimmee for 17 years and loved every minute of it. > I just started on the weight loss journey AGAIN i should say. Want to share a little dieting history - what worked in the past, what didn't, and what you're doing this time? Mine is a long and boring story starting with being born at 10 pounds, put on watered down formula at the age of 24 hours old because I gained weight in the newborn nursery, and have been on one weight loss plan or another for the past 54 years. I lost weight only twice - once during grades 7 and 8 on 1000 calories a day, coupled with daily PE in school, an hour of Jack LaLanne type aerobics every evening and the active life of a tomboy riding bikes, skating, and playing ball with the neighborhood boys. I lost 30 pounds in those 2 years, then regained them all the first month the doc increased me to 1200 calories. Oh, an additional 20 pounds came alone to keep them company, too, for a 50 pound gain in one month. The second time was 49 years later, when I was on a very strict vegetarian, low fat, starch based food plan and no exercise because of various injuries to my neck and arthritis in a number of places. I lost 45 pounds in about 5 months, then started regaining while dropping calories to 1000 a day or less. That was 1999 - 2000, and since then I've regained all but 20 of those pounds while on about 6 other food plans off and on. I try not to get too obsessed over the numbers on the scale and eat a mostly vegan food plan (http://www.drmcdougall.com ) with a few " cheats " into meat now and then and keep my calories around 1400 to maintain (You may have read an earlier message by me saying I fluctuate between 272 and 278). If I eat as low as 1200 calories I might lose a pound or 2 every few weeks, but then my hypoglycemia acts up and I wind up binging just to keep my sugars stable. Eating this way is keeping my cholesteerol and triglycerides in a range my doc is happy with. It's tricky, considering I'm also hypothyroid and having a hard time getting my meds regulated and peri-menopausal. I'm just glad the weight is down as much as it is from my previous high of 296. Guest guest
Sherry, I don't know how everybody else found them, but I went back to read the blogs on the IOWL website and found the forms there. Not to mention reading through the archives really helped motivate me. Dave > > Hi, > I just joined the group. Where do I find the worksheet refers to in the podcasts? I see some documents under Files, but they don't seem to be it. > > Thanks, > Sherry >
Guest guest
Hello everyone, Have just joined the group, suspecting I may be sensitive to things electric. Joining actually stimulated me to do a certain amount of Web research and I came across what I think is a very interesting UK site (I'm British): http://www.wireless-protection.org/index.html They do filters for dirty electricity, clothing, PC mats, Bed mats, shielding fabrics and so on, and their prices look competetive. I'll be contacting them by phone very shortly to have a chat - if they actually have a shop, they are based only about 20 miles away from me, so I could go visit. I'll have to ask them if that is possible. Has anyone done business with these people? If so, any comments - or any comments in general? Best regards,
