Guest guest
I've dispensed with thinking PSA monitoring will keep me from PCa. I still check it for data but never rely on it. A lot of PCa is discovered when urination is blocked - then it's too late. PSA can be < 4 and DRE normal. If those are normal, they will not do a biopsy. Best thing is to GET BPH and end up doing the TURP, IMO. BPH is the usual cause of a higher PSA, > 4 <10. Over 4 will allow a biopsy. Fortunately, the stats are better for me than for the general pop which includes other ethnics. But it's still 1 in 6. Helps if your ancestors and bro do not have it. Now my big choice is when to do the TURP or maybe use PROSCAR to shrink the prostate. PROSCAR can "mask" the presence of PCa. NOT an EASY "logical" choice. Even if I knew what foods/constituents would lower PSA it would not alter the prospect of PCa.
