Guest guest
Dear all, Iodine Value (IV) is a measure of Unsaturaion for Oils and fats. The typical Range of IV for Coconut oil is 4-11. mg KoH/g oil. Coconut oil is having the least unsaturation among all vegetable oils & hence Low IV which mean less susceptible for OXIDATIVE RANCUDITY. All other poly unsaturated oils will have IV's 90-155. Because of More IV for SOYA OIL< it is extensively used in paint manufacture.
