There will be information coming across from Dr. Kelsey regarding IMUNE's write up on the IRB (International Review Board) and there is a letter that is now available with Bill's opinion. I expect it will come across shortly also. If you go into the Tools & Data Transfer you can read all about it there too, it is in your program in writing.

To try not to cause any more problems here in wording (somehow I seem to be good at that !) let me explain that I did NOT mean to cause a stir by mentioning the "law" that seems to really flip people out. So here is the easiest thing I can say. The items which are in review and being studied are listed in the test matrix program and treatments drop downs you will see the IRB behind it. Bill is having this information sent to him (via Christi in Romania) when you do them. To do so & to participate the information is under the Main page "Tools & Data Transfer" Now here are your choices.

Participate as a technician (and make Bill happy) and then in a few months when the data is collected the IRB will be removed from the program.

a. If you participate you must have the clients VOLUNTARY CONSENT, verbal or written

b. Send this information in using the Tools bar access. I sent the instructions over the other day on how to do this, if you need it again write me.

c. IF you choose NOT to participate DO NOT use the items listed in the IRB listings. According to Bill there is a legal responsibility here.

d. IF some clients do not choose to participate but you are participating as a technician then for those people who do not participate do not use the IRB portions.

It's really quite simple, and only takes a couple minutes to do it, or to save it to send all at one time each week/month, etc.

ALL THE REST OF THE PROGRAM is fine to use at ANY time (via the safety warnings on your devise) and is not involved with the IRB.

And a personal note: before I get any more nasty letters about trying to stir up trouble, please folks remember I am NOT paid by the company to do this or any chat group, I volunteer my time just like you all. I do not get paid for discussing IMUNE or getting people to register, but I am on the Board (by Bills request) and I am one of the FEW long term instructors out there. I've keep up on the program and discuss these things with Bill so that I can teach you all what needs done. That is the responsibility I accepted when I became an instructor, so when someone asks if I get paid by the company for doing this or "is it just in my nature" to stir up trouble, remember I choose to help the technicians, and I choose to put myself in the line of fire so YOU all know what you need to know. I hope that my efforts are used and understood with the love and caring that I try to send them with. If you have an issue here then it is time to address it to the main office, please don't shoot the messenger.

If any of you don't know of the IRB or are not using it just ask and I'll sent it over the web. REMEMBER folks, the IRB is REQUIRED BY LAW TO BE DONE FOR ALL WHO OWN THE EPFX-USB AND SCIO.
