Guest guest
Hello Anne, It's nice to see a fellow horse person on here. I have some suggestions for you as I too have a horse with arthritis and a mild case of ringbone. If you can muscle test I would test the homeopathic tissue salt Calcarea Fluorica it is great for bony changes, and if you could give me some more information about your horse such as age, how long he has had the problem and if he is still sore is it worse with movement or better with movement, I may be able to offer some other remedies to muscle test for. I am having great luck with my horse and the EPFX. I have been able to reduce the size of his bone spur on his pastern joint using the EPFX and homeopathic remedies. I don't have a specific protocol that I am using. I run him and just work on whatever is coming up that he is ready to deal with and it sure is helping. Good luck, On 4/25/07, annezipkes <acutez@...> wrote: Having removed shoes and other stresses that have aggravated arthritisin my horse's forelegs, his feet are now healing and rebalancing foroptimum function. Guest guest
Work just like with a person with arthritis or calcium deposits, Test Matrix, Disease Dictionary, Cause/Cure/Palitation, Spinal Timed Therapy, for bone, or the Muscle choice (with Bone, Muscle, Eye, ) this also works with Ligaments and Cartilage. Outside of that may I suggest. Using RC oil from Young Living. I contacted a specialist and her answer was as follows I asked to be sure it was safe with horses, as she also has horses "Safe? Are you talking about showing up in drug tests? Otherwise it's fine. Horses react almost the same as us except they don't need a lot of oil for emotional work due to their superior sense of smell. Only cats and birds are the animals with restrictions, due to phenols not breaking down in their livers well. RC should be fine, but it will take awhile. Why did the calcification show up in the first place? If that isn't addressed no oil will work. Usually if calcification is in a leg it is because the hoof is inbalanced. A hoof with a shoe on it has twice the concussion to the bones or more since the front of the hoof cannot flex and absorb concussion. Add to that any imbalance and the only way the hoof can try to protect itself is by adding calcification." But since you already mentioned removal of the shoe, I suspect you already knew this part. Guest guest
Hi Anne, I would try adding magnesium as a piggyback to the bone stim program in spinal/timed therapies, and also individually reacting magnesium in the matrix and giving a zap of it, at least 3 minutes. Guest guest
Hi , Thank you so much for your reply. I broke my wrist and have been unable to type for some time. Now, I'm pretty much back on track and am able to explore my options with you. My horse is a 15 year old gelding. He is pidgeon-toed and shoeing for the past ten years (I believe) has certainly aggravated his problem. He had slight bony changes when I purchased him eight years ago and they have gotten progressively worse. I believe that he is worse with movement. If you mean, can he work through the stiffness and discomfort and offer a decent performance, the answer is no. He's OK for a couple of strides at the trot, then goes into a grade 2/3 lameness. In an effort to do something for him while my wrist has been healing, I started him on 30C Rus Tox 1X/WK for 8 Wks. He's now barefoot, as you know, and we fitted him with EasyCare Boots last week, with marked improvement. He's currently on MSM and B-L Pellets for inflammation and its associated pain. Other than 'standard' QXCI sessions, I'm unaware of what else I can do. Anything you would be willing to share is much appreciated. Again, I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, Thank you very much for your interest and reply. I'm sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. I broke my wrist and typing had been a very painful challenge. Now, I'm back on track and want to explore options with you. My horse is pidgen-toed and shoeing, over the years (IMO), has greatly aggravated the problem of his confirmation. Pulling his shoes is the only way (I know of) to address optimum functioning for his body. Transition from shoes to barefoot, when there is a current problem, can take a long time. So, I'm wondering when/if I can use RC oil. Perhaps, you could forward to me the name of the Young Living specialist you've spoken with and I could ask her about time and useage. I am so appreciative of your interest in helping me (and my horse) through this. Thank you for all you do for all of us. Guest guest
Hi Gage, Thank you so much for your reply. As you may have already read, I had broken my wrist and typing was a painful challenge. Now, with healing, I'm back on track. I will implement the protocols you've suggested. Thank you very much for helping me, and my horse. I appreciate all you do for all of us.
