I have an EZ-Up. I bought it at BJ's earlier this year for about

$200. This is the newest version of this particular tent and I like

it for two main reasons:

1) It came with 4 sides. Previous ones only came with 3, so you had

to buy another side (at the cost of $99!) to close the tent up.

2) The new one has a center support. The coolest thing about this is

that I can open up the tent by myself. I open it up as much as I can

by wiggling it, then I crawl underneath and push up by that center

support and it opens up beautifully.

Now, putting it up on grass is easy - use the stakes that are

included. The sand bags that come with it were not enough to keep my

tent from trying to blow away on the street, though (not good,

because I anchor my shelving to the sides of the tent!). So we went

to Home Despot and bought two 2 " PVC pipes and 16 end caps and two

bags of cememt and made some weights. We cut the pipes into 2'

lenghts, capped one end of 8 of them, filled them with cement and

capped the other end. That only took one bag, so we dug around in

the shop until I found some 3 " PVC pipe, which we cut into about 3'

lengths and also filled with cement (without caps). Now I use two of

the 2 " pipes and 1 of the 3 " pipes on top of the half-filled sand bag

and bungee corded to the legs. Since I started doing that, the tent

has not budged. :^)

Such canopies don't shield magnetic component of radiation, (for example coming

from earby poverlines) but for everything else they can do most of the job

(except regarding non measurable radiation about what I don't know anything).

But they differ very much by price and by characteristics. It is important when

you compare them to notice that 99% mitigation doesn't mean much, it's only 100

times..

I have just added to our Links section, to Measuring and mitigation folder,

both your link regarding canopies and a new one, www.electrosmog.de (I think

they have not yet added the canopies at the site, but they do sell them in a

range of characteristics and prices, but their main products are meters).

Hello,

I am new to the list and electrosensitive.

Does anybody know anything about the canopies against electrosmog

which are offered on the website below. The site is in German.
