Guest guest
I need to place an order for raw coconut oil. The centrifuged one at the Wilderness website intrigues me. http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD & Produ\ ct_Code=QF1128 I'm wondering about the taste in comparison to Spectrum. I'm looking for a pleasant coconut taste. Can someone help me out. Mike __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I use to use tropical traditions, but just recently got this one from vita cost.com...and love it. Haven't figured out how it is cost wise, but a better deal I think. How many ounces in a gal? This is 54 ozs for $20.09 US. Free shpg over 49$, so you'd have to buy 3. No big deal for me! -- coconut oils which coconut oils are the best i have been using quality first international, virgin coco cream. its a canadian company but get the oil from the phillipines area i get it in the 5 gallon pail, but they are having a hard time getting oil from suppliers, so i have started using tropics best virgin coconut oil from mexico in the 1 gallon container. obviously since we use so much of it we want the best oil and price 1 gallon is $75.00 from tropics best. 5 gallom of quality first international is $325.00 going on the internet to get oils is to expensive as getting the oils through customs and paying the tax by wieght is not worthwhile in canada. Does anyone have any thoughts on these 2 oils? Thanks, Bob
Guest guest
When I had first learned about coconut oil, I bought tropical traditions. After about two years, I tried Nutiva brand when I found that a bit cheaper--and I noticed and something interesting, too. It poofs of coconut smell when it is first opened and that smell stays there for quite a while. (I got it now in a big jar, so the smell fades a bit about halfway through.) Tropical Traditions never smelled good like this and I had bought and used several containers from them before I found the Nutiva. I thought tropical traditions was a good quality oil, but I will tend to think if it resembles the real thing as much as nutiva does, with it retaining the fragrance, I tend to think that is a more pure form.
