Guest guest
Hi Anita, Allopathy is a medical branch. It's modern medicine & medical treatments used to treat diseases.Drugs like Anacin, asprin, paracetamol or procedures like M.R.I , city scan , sonography, ECG etc. all are counted in allopathy. Ayurved is also an medical branch but its native of India. It has originated & developed in India.Ayurved was originated 7,000 years ago(rudiments of knowledge of medecine are traceble from Rg veda onwards i.e 10,000 years back). Ayurveda actually means a knowledge of the span of leaving, its good maintenance, all round excellence & possible extension beyond the usual limit . It is thus much more than merely curing illness. Ayurved is standardized into 8 branches:- 1.Shalya-surgery 2.Shalakya-suergeries above shoulder 3.Kaya chikitsa-medical treatment of body 4.Bhuta vidya-managing mental diseases 5.Kaumar Bhrtya-paediatrics 6.agada Tantra-toxicology 7.rasayana-elixirisation 8.Vaji Karana-verlification or cunseling on sex & geriatics. There is too much to write on it but I think this is sufficient. From Abhi.
