Over the years I have heard this. And I'm sure you have to.

Responding to this, isn't easy. I have found some really interesting

Comebacks, if you will. And not all of them are offensive.

Responding is hard, you have to look around, see who's watching,

where you are, who's with you, do you know anyone, how was it say,

and your mood. Most of you would be offended, maybe.

I don't get mad. I have a few approaches that I keep stored in my

memory for later use.

Ok, How to respond. Let's say you're at a friends house and one of

their friends was introduced to you. They looked at you and

said " You're so short " in a school girl type of voice. My response

would be " I KNOW it!!! " in the same excited school type voice. And

then I smile (heart warming) and then you laugh, and start your

friendship. Once that's out of the way, they know where you stand.

Here are some other ways to respond.

1) " I am?? Really? " in a shocked tone

2) " Who told you that? " in a suspicious tone, and dart your eyes

around, as if you're looking for the culprit.

3) " Ohhhhh, " In a really dumb tone, as if you're pretending you

know, but you don't. Kind of like on " Dude, Where's my Car "

4) " Yes, I've been told a few times in the past I was. "

5) " What are you talking about? No one has ever told me THAT before "

Pretending to be upset, because you were the last to know.

6) " HAHAHA, You're kidding, right? " Laughing in disbelief, and then

realize they could be right!

7) " You must be mistaken " Like in a snotty voice, or upperclass

8) " OHHHH, I just thought everyone else was TALL " kind of

like , `now this makes sense'

9) " I know, " and then just walk away, and turn to them and smile,

flirting type

10) Go next to your friend who's with you and ask them " What is

he/she talking about? " As if you don't know

11) " Well, Yes, what else is new? "

12) " Are you SURE?, or maybe you have grown a little this morning "

In a tone that makes them wonder

13) " MAN! It's the coffee and smoking! " you can figure out the tone

14) " I must have shrunk in the dryer.... "

Ok, Now it's your turn. These responses aren't supposed to be used as

a nasty response. I try to make them feel at easy with me, I don't

want them to get mad.
