Guest guest
Hi , Thats great info.. keep going :-) Where can I get one of those meters? :-) " My wife complained quite some time that she does not feel when in the neighbourhoud of my computer. " My wife has had the same problem for years now. However, interestingly tonight, she took a few grains of sea salt with a bit of water after using the computer fro an hour and feeling quite sick, and the symptoms went away almost immediately!! She was very excited, and came and told me about it.. She usually gets giddy and sick after 10-20 mins on the computer, even with and LCD screen. She has Coeliac and Chemical sensitivities as well.. We will try it again to see if it was coincidental. My mother cured her constant migrains by putting salt on her food after years of not doing that. Wonder what the salt connection is .. I know I feel much better after a swim in the sea.. Guest guest
Excellent, thanks - I look forward to seeing this produced.. It would be great to get together and do a collaborative effort to build a chart containing all the general frequencies in households, and whether they may be harmful or not.. Maybe even a database of products with a 'Safe Distance' rating for the general public.. Kind of like the general 'Efficiency' rating on household appliances.. I am sure this would help those who are not ES to think abit more carefully about exposure, especially to children.. Guest guest
Pete What you are suggesting is exactly what I am proposing to do eventually, once I can justify purchasing the spectrum analysis equipment. All we need is for someone important with control over some government purse strings to realise they have electrosensitivity and there might be a chance of getting this to happen. Otherwise, it's a bank loan and a big financial risk instead. Lachlan Re: VLF Excellent, thanks - I look forward to seeing this produced.. Guest guest
Hi , as I see it, it's the only instrument (spectrum analysis equipment) worth using if you are supposed to do serious measurements. If you use a spectrum analyzer and an antenna of good quality you can tell exactly the amount of energy emanating from each source (cellular phone tower, DECT, FM-radio and so on). My dream is to get hold of professional instrumentation for the entire spectrum from DC to lets say at least 50GHz. I'm sure I will fulfill a part (DC-3GHz) of my dream during 2005! As for florescent light: has anyone on the list information of how much UV-light (and other frequencies related to Hg)that is emitted? Guest guest
Hello Anders, of course spectrum analysis equipment is good equipment, but the costs are enormous. For a private person too high. And you must take into account, that those values are not precise. Officially, they calculate with a tolerance of + and - 3 dB. The meter, the antenna and the cables must be calculated as well, and they must be checked and calibrated periodically, which costs also. There are alternatives, which give about the same information. I have found that. Perhaps after 1 November, another alternative is on the market. We will see. Your dream about DC-3GHz will remain a dream. A spectrum analyzer will not measure anything about DC. There, one needs other measuring equipment, like a Feldmuehle for electrical DC or a magnetometer or a scintillationscounter for magnetic DC. For AC, I now have a meter, measuring from 5 kHz to 30 kHz and from 30 kHz to 150 kHz. Some sounds I have placed on the website under info. I was astounded how much signals my completely turned-off televisions set was still emitting. Guest guest
Hi , of course I know that you can't get a spectrum from true DC, but perhaps 0.01Hz or so (I will probably cover the region 0.01Hz-250kHz with home made constructions). And to span 0.01Hz-3GHz will take probably 3-4 different instruments. Tolerance of +/- 3dB goes for cheap instruments in the range of 2000$-3000$ I guess. By the way, isn't HAARP active at about 4MHz, not 30kHz-150kHz? Greetings, Anders ---------- wrote: > Hello Anders, > > of course spectrum analysis equipment is good equipment, but the costs are > enormous. > > For a private person too high. > And you must take into account, that those values are not precise. > Officially, they calculate with a tolerance of + and - 3 dB. > The meter, the antenna and the cables must be calculated as well, and they > must be checked and calibrated periodically, which costs also. > > There are alternatives, which give about the same information. > I have found that. > > Perhaps after 1 November, another alternative is on the market. > We will see. > > Your dream about DC-3GHz will remain a dream. > A spectrum analyzer will not measure anything about DC. > There, one needs other measuring equipment, like a Feldmuehle for electrical > DC or a magnetometer or a scintillationscounter for magnetic DC. > > For AC, I now have a meter, measuring from 5 kHz to 30 kHz and from 30 kHz > to 150 kHz. > Some sounds I have placed on the website under info. > > I was astounded how much signals my completely turned-off televisions set > was still emitting. > > Greetings, > Claessens > member Verband Baubiologie > www.milieuziektes.nl > www.hetbitje.nl > checked by Norton Antivirus > > Re: VLF > > > >>Hi , >> >>as I see it, it's the only instrument (spectrum analysis equipment) >>worth using if you are supposed to do serious measurements. >>If you use a spectrum analyzer and an antenna of good quality you can >>tell exactly the amount of energy emanating from each source (cellular >>phone tower, DECT, FM-radio and so on). >>My dream is to get hold of professional instrumentation for the entire >>spectrum from DC to lets say at least 50GHz. Guest guest
Hello Anders, I wish you luck. The tolerance of +/- 3 dB goes also for the very expensive instruments. According to the manufacturer, this meter measures the HAARP signals. Therefore it is called *HAARP Detektor*. Guest guest
Hi ! Where can I get more info about this " HAARP Detector " ? I checked the HAARP-projects main page and found out that HAARP can operate on frequencies between 2.8MHz and 10MHz. It must be secondary effects that you might be able to measure in the span 5kHz to 150kHz. As far as i get it HAARP isn't used on a daily base. Guest guest
Hello Anders, do not believe what they tell you. It seems, that HAARP can modify the weather and can cause earthquakes. For that, other frequencies must be used. For info look at: www.priggen.de.vu and under Umweltmessgeraete and Elektrische Gleichfelder. Guest guest
Hello Anders, good question. The power cord was completely unplugged. But not the antenna (cable TV). I shall try that also later on. Could it be that only the antenna signals set this TV in motion? W'll see. Guest guest
I want to be able to measure the full spectrum of frequencies to be able to offer people and researchers knowledge about their environment and also, as a long term research project, to try to identify frequencies or ranges of frequencies of most concern, to facilitate their avoidance for the sake of my own health and that of others. I am of the opinion that values relating to frequency are a lot more useful than those relating to Watts per square metre. Guest guest
I had forgotton about HAARP. It probably is interfering with weather patterns - I have been wondering about all the floods, typhoons etc that seem to be becoming increasingly frequent - thinking it must be due to global warming. Guest guest
Hello, my television set was completely off any mains electricity. The cable antenna was NOT connected. And still a lot of signals were coming out of the set. More in the 5-30 kHz range, than in the 30-150 kHz range. I must probe into that deeper. I found another thing. My wife still had some trouble in one area of our living room. However I could not measure anything significant. Outside on our terras, we have a satelllite dish (60 cm). We have read that around such a dish, a whirling of longitudinal waves may occur. I had read in another list, that they had found *some radiation* with a pendulum. Now, after I removed the dish, my wife did not have those complaints anymore. It is known, that metal surfaces, like a dish, may work like a secondary antenna, but that is mainly on the front of the surface (reflexion), not at the back, as I have had here. It is also known, that longitudinal waves may go through a cage of Farady, and a satellite dish may not be different. In some strange way, the logitudinal waves are bundeled and pass through the back of it into our living room. It was also strange, that my wife had complaints within a radius of 4 meters of our telephone with cord, the Umax. I found with the HAARP Detektor those strange VLF signals, as placed on my website, and after I installed another telephone with cord, a Profoon, the complaints were gone. And, Anders and Lachlan, I do not sell or loan my special measuring instrument, with which I am happily married for over 40 years. Guest guest
Hello Lachlan, you are quite right about that. Only, we have frequency and frequency. I mean, we have a highfrequency carrier, like the 900 MHz, or 1800 MHz, or the 2150 MHz or whatever. And we have the lowfrequency modulation of 16.7 Hz (TETRA), 100 Hz (DECT), 217 Hz (mobiles) 1733 Hz (base station) plus a numer of under- and upper waves. I do know an austrian building biologist, who uses a frequency generator with a hand electrode, and tries to find out at which of those modulation frequencies electrosensible people do react. It is the pulsrates that are the most devastating. But the other ones are no good either. And one person may react to a special frequency quite different than another person. So a general rule is hard to be found. Guest guest
Hi ! Regarding emissions from your TV: You said it yourself " It is known, that metal surfaces, like a dish, may work like a secondary antenna, but that is mainly on the front of the surface (reflexion), not at the back, as I have had here. " . The metal parts inside your TV-set acts as an antenna. To test my theory, keep your " HAARP Detector " close to another metal object of about the same size as the TV or even a short cable (50-100cm). Maybe an unplugged micro or the unplugged satellite dish. It might be important that the metal object is positioned at the same place were the TV was when you got those unusual readings. Guest guest
Hello and Anders: There are low frequency spectrum analyzers available (see http://www.lessemf.com/probe.html#466) which can analyzer very low frequency for reasonable cost. The unit referenced above can resolve about ..3 Hz on the 0-600 Hz scale. Of course, you must connect an appropriate probe (electric field or magnetic field) to the analyzer.
