Guest guest
Hi to all with a smile I am relatively new to coconut oil and am loving it. Its great to do research and learn from others experiences. Have noticed quite a lot of references to weightloss on this site. My understanding is that all food (including VCO) is energy. That is, we eat food to gain energy for daily living. The body processes our food converting it into usable energy. Excess energy intake is stored as fat cells in the body. VCO may increase metablolism and have many other benefits, however, if one continues to take in more than one uses, energy wise, then fat storage is inevitable. I've read that FATS as food sources contain the most dense readily available energy, if so, too much is just that! we need to learn and be aware of quantites. STRESS All our food intake is subject to our levels of mental stress. The Chinese Medical understanding is that each organ has specific emotional relationships. Eg: sadness and grief effect the heart and lungs, anger effects the liver, overthinking upsets the spleen/pancreas. So, as well as achieving a good diet, and in the process overcoming the old bad habitual ways, we need to nurture a Calm and Harmonious mind. Not easy while things are not perfect around us, but we should be aware of our own state of mind and emotions. They have a direct effect on the way our body works. Mind, body, energy, all interconnected always. People with specific serious complaints really need to find a good natural therapist (as well as a good MD / GP). These feelings of unwell may be mental or physical, don't fly blind, get professional help as well as doing your own research. Just some thoughts, hope they're helpful for someone. Rich.
