Guest guest
This may not be applicable for anyone else on here, but I've discovered that thyroid meds make my ES worse. I've been on Armour type meds for almost 4 years -- at varying levels (and types)-- the more I'm on, the worse my ES gets. I had gotten to the point where being under fluorescent lights would make me weak, dizzy and somewhat disoriented in about 10 minutes -- so I really couldn't go anywhere. The computer would bother me some and talking on cell phones was very difficult -- I would end up weak, twitchy and exhausted after a 15 minute conversation. Portable phones were not much better. In May, I ended up in the hospital with tachycardia & arrythmia. The allopathic docs took one look at my thyroid labs (mainly the fact that my tsh was .01 even though my FT4 & FT3 were in the lower half of the range) and yanked me off thyroid meds. Within a few weeks, my ES symptoms lessened dramatically. I'm still not normal (because of muscle weakness problems) but I can handle fluorescent lights, computers and cell phones fairly well. Anybody else ever notice that connection? Any ideas why?? Thanks!! Amy
