Guest guest
I was extremely acidic a few years ago (when my health was at its worst), and have pretty much eaten a mostly-Alkaline-forming diet in the years since, which has seemingly helped a lot. However, my daily EMF exposure is huge, so it's an ongoing battle -- the EMF is probably making me more acid, but I counter it by eating foods which make me more alkaline. I thought a new thread was needed for this topic. Could you please tell me what foods are critical to your alkaline-forming diet? Thanks Lachlan

Could you please tell me >what foods are critical to your alkaline-forming diet? Thanks When I first told that I was extremely acidic (by a colon hydrotherapist), I was told to eat lots of " green " foods, like Kale, etc. I eventually bought a book, " Alkalize or Die " , which listed all sorts of common foods and whether they made you acidic or made you alkaline. I then switched over to foods which were mostly alkaline-forming. Basically it is as simple as eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat, dairy, and junk foods. Common sense, really. But there is information about foods which are REALLY alkaline forming (like asparagus) or barely alkaline forming. I'm sure that there are such lists on the web as well. As for what I eat today, I'm not as strict about these things as I used to be, but everyday I juice some carrots & ginger, I eat an avocado, 2 apples, a banana, a few dates, several almonds. Also a little " Vitamineral Green " , which is one of those green food powders which is supposed to be very alkalanizing. Also I frequently cook up a bowl of Quinoa, which is a rarity among grains in that it contains no gluten, is alkaline-forming, and it contains all the essential amino acids in approximately the correct ratio for humans. The other foods I eat during the day are most likely on the acid-side, because, like I say, I'm not as strict about such things as I used to be, when I would, say, eat a kale or spinich salad everyday. But the rest of these foods seem to be mostly protein sources (rice/beans/oats/soy), as getting enough protein also seems to be critical for tolerating EMF. Guest guest
Unfortunately I'm not in the US so I can't take you up on your offer. I can access most books though since, as a researcher, I can simply get my library to order them. Thanks Re: RE: Body Acidity In a message dated 3/9/2004 11:55:14 PM Eastern Standard Time, Lachlan.Mudge@... writes: Could you please tell me what foods are critical to your alkaline-forming diet?
