Temperature drop?

I've been taking VCO since February, working very slowly up to 3 tbs

per day (minimum) which I have now been at for about 2 months.

I've been taking my basal body temperature practically every day (!)

since I started, and, allowing for my monthly cycle, I noticed a

definite rise in temps from February to about September. Since

then, however, the average temps have dropped quite dramatically -

almost back to the lows of last February. :-(

I've been quite stressed (emotionally) over the past few months, so

that could be the reason, but I'm also wondering whether the season

also affects body temperature, and a rise in summer and dip in

winter is normal in basal body temperatures. Another reason: could

it be that the effect of taking VCO " wears off " over time?

If anybody has any clues - please let me know!

Katy

Hi Alobar

I take a great interest in good, nourishing and healthy food and

think I'm probably pressing all the right buttons.

I've been a low carber for nearly 4 years and avoid all grains and

sugar. I make all my own stocks, soups and stews and avoid

processed foods completely. I never eat junk food (and I mean

never), and eat fresh meat, poultry, fish, cheese, nuts, seeds and

lots of fruit and vegetables. I eat plenty of natural fats (butter,

cream, cheese, olive oil) and also make kefir. On top of the

supplementation with VCO, I also take approx 600 mg EPA fatty acids

in capsule form, together with a good multivitamin containing

selenium, magnesium, zinc, etc.

I lead a busy active lifestyle, and do 2 hours of Pilates each

week. Generally my health is excellent - I am very rarely ill, even

with colds, and I feel better than I felt when I was 20 years

younger! I have, however, suffered from various annoying symptoms

which I have come to realise could be related to hypothyroid

problems and I am keen to do what I can through nutritional means

and avoid resorting to medications if at all possible.

That's me in a nutshell! I will continue with the VCO and see how

it goes. I might increase to 4 tbs. After Christmas, things might

settle down again, I hope.

Hi Kim

VCO helps to support adrenals, too, doesn't it? I also try to eat

plenty of zucchini as I've read that helps too, together with the

rest of my diet, which I think is very . Do you have any other

suggestions?
