Guest guest
That's what I got with my utility co but they offered the prepay analog? Did you ask about that?  Seems like there would be a legal recourse! They are really dangerous meters! Deadly for me.  Loni From: torch369 <torch369@...> Subject: SDGE says no way to get Smart Meters removed Date: Thursday, October 28, 2010, 4:42 PM  Someone called me and I explained my situation and he said there is no way they will replace the Smart Meters with the old ones. Guest guest
Maureen, You can call your utility co & voice your concern & tell them you don't want to be exposed to their smart meters. Intelligently & diplomatically. Prepare what you want to say & then make the effort. That's the only thing we can do and numbers talk! We can also join forces with the orgnizations that are trying to do something about the smart meters & the cell antennas. That is what I am doing. We must all act; it's the only way to make change & spread awareness! Guest guest
> She said FCC approve smart meter. Yes, but from what I'm reading online, the FCC only found the smart meter to be " safe " when only 1 meter was in use for 30 minutes -- not a whole neighborhood of meters that are active 24/7? Guest guest
Well I don't believe it is a conspiracy. However, Big Business funds politicians so they back & protect them. Push on! I suppose one might complain directly to the FCC as well... after all, they are the ones who have claimed that these are " safe " . I suspect they didn't mean safe for EVERYONE, but rather just " healthy people " . Marc
Guest guest
No research has been done regarding the health effects of Radio-broadcasting utility meters. Research done regarding the health effects of chronic exposure to RF from other sources definitely shows harmful health effects. It's true that present federal regulations allow this kind of exposure, but it's also true that a federal spokesperson has admitted that the regulations do not offer safety regarding exposure to non-ionizing radiation. If you are debilitated when you are exposed to radio-frequency radiation, and you have a doctor who will confirm this in a letter, you may indeed be able to get an RF-broadcasting meter removed. It is easier not to get one installed than to get one removed,. So far everyone who has tried the particular tactic I referred to here recently has succeeded in not having one installed. I don't now how successful they have been at getting one removed. I'm not outlining the steps you need to take here because they are quite specific and people benefit from a bit of help with the specifics. If you are interested, contact me and I'll put you in touch with the person who is helping folks with this process. I repeat that what worked for me was a letter from my doctor in combination with sending the utility company quite a few studies showing that RF is indeed harmful and telling them that I was keeping a record of everything I sent them, so that if the issue went to court they could not say they didn't know the RF was harmful. If you send them items by mail, keep a log and send by a form of mail that certifies delivery. If you send by e-mail, ask the representative to acknowledge each message you send.
