Guest guest
Telephones make me feel as if all my circuits are shorting out. So I bought a duplex speaker phone - so I could talk w/out having anything near my head. It turned out to be a two line, and it never worked properly so I found a good home for it with a blind minister who loves it. Now I am looking for a replacement. Does anybody have any suggestions that are affordable that they have experience with? I am homebound with MCS, EI, ES and Lyme's Disease, which is untreatable traditionally because of MCS. Thanks very much, Josie
Guest guest
Josie, does it have to be a speaker phone? If not, check Ebay. I've bought many old phones off of there over the years and have been happy with them. Amy Need Advice/Help with Phone Telephones make me feel as if all my circuits are shorting out.? Amy PUK replies - try also the ADSL filter at powerwatch.co.uk you can also fit 3-4 in line so reducing the broadband radiation coming from the phone. Guest guest
I just bought an old speaker phone for $2 at Good Will. My old phone was giving me earaches (had the dial numbers in the headset along with volume control). This phone from Good Will has nothing in the headset and I no longer get earaches, plus it does have a speaker if I want to use that. So people might want to check thrift type stores that get old stuff. Kathy > > > In a message dated 8/30/2008 2:01:44 A.M. Yes, use a landline phone with air tube headset. see http://www.lessemf.com/cellphon.html#725 Best Regards, Emil DeToffol Less EMF Inc. tel: +1-518-432-1550 fax: +1-309-422-4355 www.lessemf.com
Guest guest
If the phone plugs into an outlet it has a power supply which is likely a problem. If it has memory functions then it may send a jolt to refresh the memory, which is bad (but perhaps not as bad as the power supply). I have a Panasonic speakerphone that seems OK if I'm not too close. I just bought a phone that is all line powered (no batteries or plug needed) but it stinks of chemicals and am still airing it out. RadioShack used to make a " telephone amplifier system " you could use with a regular phone to make it a speaker phone. Some versions require a plug in transformer. I think the best one had a model number ending in A and was from the mid or early '80s. Some of the others are bad EMF wise. The air-tube headset is good if you find it comfortable--the dimensions are adjustable but the part that goes into your ear I never liked.
