Guest guest
Dear Noelle, I am new to the OCD list. My name is Dr. Barbara Freedman, and I am a licensed marriage, family and child therapist, a former elementary school teacher and parent of three sons, two of whom have AD/HD. First of all, your little boy is only five. It is extremely important that he had a good start in school as this will lay the groundwork for the next thirteen years of his life. If I were you, this little one has enough on his plate just with your homelife situation and OCD to add a witchy teacher to his platter. This school sounds as if it has no concept of the needs of children. Children, especially at the age of five, need love, compassion, support, encouragement, socialization skills, and a time to explore and discover the wonders of the school environment. You need to be careful when sendind a child to private school as some think they are college-level places of higher education. Your child is five--not twenty-five. This teacher obviously has no idea about the capabilities of a five year old, nor does it seem as if this school knows what to do with children. Check out their mission statement--it should be to embue childlren with a love of learning--if not--find another. Also, this is not a matter of " quitting " merely waking up and acknowledging that this " school " is toxic! Just hug your child and let him know that you will be there for him--no matter what! That is what he really needs right now. P,S. Don't neglect yourself in the process--you've got a lot to deal with so be good to you as well. Guest guest
Re: starting with signs I'm new to this, so I hope I'm doing this correctly. I am responding to a question about starting with sign language and moving to vocalizations. My son started with signs at 18 months, he had no other communication at that time. He used signs exclusively for about a year, and since he had already acquired language use through signs, when we insisted on words he was able to use them. It was a slow process, but very well worth it, he is five now and is able to speak his wants, needs, and thoughts. My suggestion is to be sure and always repeat several times the word that goes with the sign he/you are using, so that he learns the words as he goes along, even if he cant say them yet. Hope this helps, good luck.
Guest guest
Raxar is a quinolone, is used for what you have described. You are right when you question the effects on the liver, since one of the areas to watch is liver toxicity. It is probably something to discuss with your GI or whoever is familiar with your liver and your history with the hepatitises, (I am not sure that is a real word), and another day is probably not going to hurt you. You should discuss this with someone who has a more indepth of your labs and history, just to be on the safe side. Marty

Guest guest
Hello All, Thanks for the great suggestions about blueberries, but I live in Northern Europe and cannot find frozen blueberries or even dried ones. Totally idiotic! And in the summer the fresh ones cost about 3 bucks a cup. (!!!!) Hence, the cans. But when I get to the States I could stock up on some dried sugarless ones. Any addresses? Online URLs? Thanks! MM ________________________________________________________________________________\ _____ Get more from the Web. Guest guest
Hello, LEF ran a big article several years back on low core body temperature and longevity. Seems that the lower the better. They said Melatonin aided in reducing core body temperature. (I'll see if I can find the article and post it) Looks like CR does the same. My doctor tried to switch me to Celebrex but that pill does absolutely nothing for me!! It's like not taking anything at all. I'm back on the Arthrotec but only one a day for now until we can find something else that works for me. Has anyone else had this situation wit Arthrotec and what medicine did you switch to??? Guest guest
Yes I have been on Arava but had many side effects and was taken off of it. I feel that a combination of Methotrexate and Prednizone has been the best for me. I also had gold shots long ago and have been on almost all of the drugs until recently. I also took Celebrex but can use it for short periods only because I am on a blood thinner. I would like to be able to take Vioxx but can " t because of the blood thinner. Good luck to you and I am sorry I am not any help to you,

It does carry alot of problems all by itself. Here is a recipe you can make that should help you:1 ounce Lobelia seed, crushed (Lobelia inflata)1 ounces Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora)1 ounce Skunk cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus)1 ounce Gum Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha var. molmol)1 ounce Black Cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa)1/2 ounce CayenneMacerate the abovt in a minimum of 1 piint of 100 proof vodka or Everclear (use enough alcohol to cover all the herbs) in a tightly capped vessel, and shake well at least once a day. After 14 days, strain, squeeze or press out the liquid.Dosage would be 1 to several drops twice a day.--OR--you could just make a tea infusion of the above herbs and take up to a teaspoonful in a glass of water morning and night.Peace, love and light,Don Quai .. .. >>>> And, another option to consider with tremors, spasms and the like is Magnesium. Many folks are Magnesium deficient or have an imbalance with Calcium and B6/complex. mjhhttp://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
Guest guest
Well I worked a double shift today and hardly ate a thing. That was my exercise ( I took a temp job as a waitress) But yesterday I tried the Method's Jab, Kick and Burn with Tracey Mallett. Despite all the negative I have to say I think it is still a good video and if you practice and modify the moves you can get a pretty good workout. First the cueing is not mirrored. Blanks can kind of get a way with it since he does one move at a time but Tracey is taking traditional kickboxing and making it dance like along with choreographed moves. Second there are three 15-min segments. The beggining of the second two slow down too much. I had to jog it out. Third the bonus ab segment is hardly a challenge. Wth that said I liked the different combos and the drum accompainment. Tracey has one of those personalities where you think you are going to hate her but you end up thinking she is cool in the end. For anyone who owns Method Cardio Boot Camp this is the same instructor and the video is along the same lines. On the topic of the weighted balls in the Taebo series. When I first got them and used them I felt them. But I squeeze and punch HARD. In fact told me I put alot of power into my punches. Which I think everyone should so. Max out your workout. I use the balls with the advanced tapes. I have weighted gloves too but I save them for when I use my heavy bag. I don't want them to get all nasty too fast. a ____________________________________________________________ Find what you are looking for with the Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp?SRC\ =lycos10
Guest guest
Re:. U.S. Healthtests Question NYS lab law regulations excludes tests performed for criminal justice agencies, such as courts, parole, DOC, etc. In any case, labs we work with are licensed by the NYS Health Department. All testing with these labs is conducted under NYS regulations. But, the general point is well taken. We will add a note to our website addressing this issue. This point also applies to drug testing in general, and for this reason we sell hardly any drug tests in NYS. Doug Kabat
Guest guest
"we sell hardly any drug tests in NYS." You're in NYS, right? So you're saying you hardly sell any drug tests? Isn't it regulated by the state that the lab is located in? So if you're using NW Tox in Utah, it's governed by UT law and USDTL would be governed by Illinois law....Is that right?
