I felt the first positive effects of VCO within an hour. When I skip VCO

for a day, the reverse happens as well.

Good luck in your results. Nobody can tell you exactly what VCO will do for

you, but I'm sure you will find out for yourself very soon!

New to Group- Chronic Thyroid problems

Hi Everyone.

I was first diagnosed with hyperthyroid when I was around eleven years

old. The doctors treated me with Tapazole and it is my contention that

the drug caused permanent damage to my thyroid gland. I have been

struggling with my weight ever since even though periodic blood tests

showed my thyroid was normal.

It wasn't until I gave birth that my thyroid totally gave out. And I

mean totally. My TSH levels skyrocketed. I now take armour thyroid.

I'm now 47 and have suffered from low level chronic depression all of

my adult life which I believe is thyroid related. Even with the

supplementation I know I am not " right " and I suffer monthly with

terrible PMS.

I just started taking VCO on Thursday. I spread it on a piece of whole

grain bread. Within five minutes I felt slightly different. I can't

explain exactly what it was -- maybe a slight feeling of warmth or a

tiny speed up of my metabolism. I found that I was not hungry at all

until about four hours later at which time I was famished and had to

eat right away.

Can anyone else comment on how long it took to SEE evidence that this

is really working? Can anyone tell me if they've had similar

experiences?

Will VCO help my pms?

Thank you.

Brett

I feel energy when I take it too............it has also helped my candida issues

which in turn affect the functioning of your thyroid. I suggest you buy a copy

of Coconut Cures by Bruce Fife N.D. which will give you a ton of information

about coconut oil and its uses.

You might want to try the coconut milk sold by WFN. The milk they

sell is vastly different from the milk sold in metal cans sold in grocery

stores.

Joyce I do the coconut milk smoothy every day. Here is how I make it.

Coconut milk can be pretty thick so water it down.

1 can of coconut milk

1 can cold water

1 large cup of ice.

3 scoops of choclate whey protein(20 grams protein /scoop)

zap it in the blender

this is 2 servings

Tastes pretty good to me

Thank you for that information but here's my problem...I'm waiting on my VCO

order from WFN so in the meantime I purchased some of the canned coconut milk.

It's really good in Bruce's recipes like the soup and chowder (I really like

the clam chowder and cream of cauliflower recipes) but I cannot stomach the

smoothies. So I guess I'll be having soup for breakfast for awhile.

WFN is often slower than I would like. But I order via money

order, so I do not know how much of the slowness is my money order getting

to them, and how much the lag-time between their receiving the money order

and the shipment getting out their door.

Carol said: I ordered from NZ during a weekend, had e-mail from them on Monday

saying my

order was filled, and I had it by Wednesday. I use debit card for payment.

The oil I am using I got from Kokonut via a firm in Canberra, Australia, and

it's very good. I would like to try the centrifuged oil next. I don't really

want to have to order it from the USA, and imagine I can order it direct from

source. My impression is that there is only one firm doing it with centrifuge,

though that may not be correct. Can anyone advise me of a source in Australia

selling premium oil, or direct from the country concerned?

Did I understand correctly that someone in the US ordered from New Zealand?

Is there a link for a list of suppliers of good coconut oil?

Hi Rowena, Welcome. Good to know another Aussie is here with us.

I too wondered about Carol's order from NZ. I hope she tells us more. Whilst

we presume she meant 'New Zealand', perhaps her use of those initials means

something else?

Where in Australia are you? I am in southern beaches area of Sydney.

Kokonut Pacific supply very fine quality VCO obtainable from Canberra, I have

used it for several years. Coles supermarket at Parkside Mall at Miranda also

sell small jars of CO in their Asian food section - I am pretty sure it is NOT

virgin oil though. It is a long time since I looked at those jars, so I can't

report on the label's info.
