Guest guest
Hi, I saw very nice pics of those homes, plus info on how to build them in one of last year's Mother Earth News magazines. I couldn't help but wonder, tho.... wouldn't you have a mold problem with the straw inside the walls???? Having been raised on a farm, I remember straw mold and it wasn't pleasant. As fossil fuels get scarcer, a passive-solar-heated straw bale house looks better and better. Much cheaper to build, too. Yes, I know y'all can't go out and build a house, but in a few more years those who did may be sitting cozy in cold times.
